Another stolen survey (Yoink!)

Whenever I suffer from writers block, I find writing anything, even fan fiction or a survey helps get thing flowing.

So here goes:

1. Do you know anyone in prison?

Unfortunately, I do. Last year a friend I’ve know since high school was arrested and charged with sexual assault. To say I’m shocked is a complete understatement. This guy, who we’ll call Donnie for now, has been nothing but nice to me and a good friend. To give you an example, early in 2017, I had a terrible staph infection. I had a IV bag hooked up and I had to wear it all day for two weeks. Because I had a needle in my arm, I found simple things like showering and even doing my dishes a royal pain in the ass. At least two times when I was wearing that thing on my arm, Donnie came over and did the mountain of dishes I had accumulated because I couldn’t do them. The worst part is, I can’t even visit him while he’s awaiting trail without bond. The day of the alleged incident, I saw him. He had dropped by with a few groceries I had run short on so I wouldn’t have to take the boys out in the rain to get them myself. The alleged incident occurred less than 30 minutes after he left my place. So because I was the last one to see him before it happened, I can’t have any contact as I might be a witness to establish the timeline. Totally sucks, but my Dad said he’s going to visit when he comes back from Florida for me because Donnie used to be one of my Dad’s student when he was a high school teacher way back.

2. Have you ever logged onto a boyfriend/girlfriend/crush’s myspace?

Myspace? My gaud, how old is this survey??

3. When is the last time you ate peanut butter and jelly?

A few days ago. Both myself and my boys love the PB & J. I even go a step further, cause my older son Ethan loves to have grilled Peanut Butter and Banana sandwiches. They were also Elvis’ favorite, so it’s a sandwich fit for a king of Rock & Roll.

4. Do you have a desk in your room?

I have a desk in my living room. Two actually that form an l-shape. One has both my computers (Hardtop and laptop) set up and the other has books stacked up on it. Looks very cool.

5. Have you ever gotten naked at a party?

Of course I have. When a very gorgeous (and also very naked) woman that’s skinny dipping in a pool asks you to take it all off and join her in the pool for some fun… YOU DO IT!

6. What kind of car insurance do you have?

None, because I don’t own a car.

I’ve never owned a car, and I likely never will.

I have never even had a driver’s license. When I was 16, I made the decision not to pursue driving, and I think many lives (including my own) have been saved because of that choice.

7. Are you named after one of your parents or grandparents?

I am. Peter was my grandfathers name, it was also his father’s name, etc. Peter in my Dad’s side goes back several generations all the way back to the first Peter who was a Ship Captain in Lake Ontario during the 1850’s. We know this because the first Peter’s Captain’s license is encased in glass and handed down to the first male in the family named Peter of the following generation. I was the first Peter so the license is currently mine. If I don’t have my own Peter to hand it down to, I’ll make sure it’s passed on to another Peter in the family to keep things going.

8. Does your first significant other still live in the same town as you?

Leah, my ex-wife, still lives in the same city. She’s got a great job here, which is the entire reason we moved here prior to our separation. The boys are doing well in school and she’s also met and moved in with someone new. The guy’s name is Shawn, and he’s a nice guy. He had absolutely nothing to do with the reason we got separated, so I’m nothing but nice to him… in order words, I refuse to be that kind of ex. He’s good to my boys, and even has a kid of his own from a previous relationship that I’m nice too as well. We all get along, and things could be far worse so I’m happy for them. I’ll eventually move on too, but for the last few years, I’ve been taking care of m issues with individual and group therapy. When I do find that next special someone, I hope to have a little baggage as possible moving forward. I’ve also been a volunteer facilitator for the Divorce support group, giving back to the people who’ve helped me through my divorce.

 9. Do you throw up gang signs?

I’m more old school when it comes to signs, like flipping the people a bird. Can’t go wrong with a classic.

10. Have you ever broken a rib?

I have not and I hope I never do. I’ve seen people suffer through it and I’m told it’s very painful.

11. Would you rather be a girl or a guy?

I’m quite content with where I am right now, thank you.

12. Who is the most spoiled person you know?

My older son Ethan. He’s got two divorced parents, two uncles on my side, one grandpa on my side, and then four uncles and two aunts on Leah’s side. With that much family, he gets a lot of gifts… but that’s not his fault that he has so many aunts and uncles that want to buy him stuff.

13. Would you rather have a million dollars or true love?

I’d have to meet that person first before making my decision…

14. Have you ever had sex in church?

Ummm… no. I may be an Atheist, but even my blasphemy has its limits.

15. Is your boyfriend/girlfriend a marine??

I’m Canadian… I don’t think we have marines.

16. Do you watch the Grammy’s?

I don’t want to show my age, but music today is mostly garbage. There are some new songs that I like but a lot of it is fucking terrible.

17. Would you ever work for the border patrol?

Never. I do not have the patience nor the temperament for that and most jobs.

18. Which one word would describe your last relationship:

Psycho. Bitches be crazy!

19. Would you rather date someone 2 years older then you or 20 years older then you?

I usually try to stick to dating people who are 5 years older or 5 years younger, but I’ve had some hookups that have shattered that role as I’ve slept with much younger and much older than I as well. Both were fascinating experiences, but I would never date either of them.

20. Have you ever had a eating disorder?

Not really. I do like food and enjoy eating but I doubt that’s a disorder.

21. Do you have a porn collection?

I’m a man, so the answer is of course a resounding YES. When I was married I stashed all my favorite porn in a formatted DVD disc. My ex never touched it because I had “The Matrix Revolutions” written on it. That would keep most people away from the disc.

22. How many proms have you been to in your life?

I attended a few school dances, but never went to a prom. Probably never will.

23. Have you ever been in a inter-racial relationship?

I’ve never had a relationship, but I have hooked up with a few ladies that were of other ethnicities. I wouldn’t mind trying a few more that I haven’t been with before I try to settle down again.

24. Is your birthday on a holiday?

I was almost a spook baby. I was due to hatch on October 31st, but popped a few days early on the 28th. My older brother was born on Mother’s day. So my mom delivered her first child on mother’s day… how’s that for a mother’s day gift? Becoming a mom!

25. Are you old enough to vote?

Yes, and I have been for at least two decades.

26. What do your naughty bits look like?

Take my word for it, they look magnificent.

28. Do you worry about global warming?

I do, but sometimes I watch other people not even make an effort and wonder what good will my effort make.

29. Do you like polar bears?

Only from a distance or with a thick sheet of glass between us.

30. Have you ever been cheated on?

Yes, that is the reason my first marriage ended.

31. What kind of birth control do you use?

I don’t. I’d actually love to have another kid… cause that would rate an 11 on the piss of the ex-wife meter. She fixed herself (without asking for my views) right after Jon was born. I’d like to have at least one more but am content if I’m all done too.

32. What slang word(s) do you call marijuana?

I call it smelly shit, cause that’s what it is to me.

33. Are you an atheist?

Yes. I am an Atheist. I have been once since I was 16, so I’ve been an non-believer for over 26 years.

I’ve written three books about my atheism, and am in the process of writing my fourth.

People often call me the second coming of Christopher Hitchens, and while that’s nice to say… I don’t think there will ever be another Hitch.

I love to debate, speak my mind, and attend functions with other atheists.

Some people have labelled me an militant or outspoken atheist, but I prefer to think I’m just brutally honest about the subject. Funny thing is, my first Atheist book is called Outspoken: Confessions of a Devout Atheist.  It’s a cool book that is available to download for free in all electronic formats at Smashwords. So read it… I dare ya. I double dare you, mother fucker!

34. Did you lose your virginity to your neighbor?

Kind of… but that’s all I’m going to say, as gentlemen don’t speak of such things.

35. Do you think your childhood dreams will come true?

My childhood dream was to make comic books, and I even drew my own superheros when I was 12. Today I am the head writer of River Comics. And guess who’s childhood superhero is going to get their own issue?

36. Do you wear your sweetie’s clothes?

I currently don’t have a sweetie, but the answer would be no. I prefer my own clothes.

37. What’s your opinion on gold diggers?

As long as they’re honest about their intentions, they’re free to pursue whomever they want.

38. Are you a country or city girl/boy?

Definitely a city boy. I’ve lived in cities most of my life.

39. Is your car a 2002 or higher?

I don’t own a car, refer to previous car answer.

40. Do you floss daily?

No, I don’t like flossing but I do take care of my teeth. They’re doing okay.
