All Done…

Around 5:30 this morning (20 mins ago), I sat back in my chair and looked at the computer with great relief. I just finished writing the last chapter of my novel.

The novel has 50 Chapters, 303 pages and 84,497 words.

I’m not naive. I know there is still a lot of work to be done. Countless revisions, finding a literary agent and then eventually trying to push for publication. I might even add some more chapters if I feel it’s necessary, but for now it feels good to have the actual manuscript finished.

Now the real fun begins. But I think I might take the rest of the day off to celebrate having the actual manuscript finished. I’m very happy with how it ended, and while I might tinker with it a bit in the next while, I’m satisfied with where it leads and finishes.

I am very confident that this book will sell, it’s only a matter of finding an agent that agrees with that and sees the massive potential this novel has to become a bestseller. I’m sure there’s one out there. The search for that person will start next week…

But for now, it’s time to celebrate! I’m finished! WOOOHOOO!!!

Congratulations! Finishing something is always worth it and it makes you feel SO good. I’m a writer too and I love the way it feels when I finish a story. Time to gift yourself with something nice for finishing it. Now I’m wondering what your story is about, I’ll definitely have to continue reading your journal :). -Liz

There is nothing like the feeling of finishing a script or book that you’ve been working on for a while. Congratulations. And I want a discount on the rights to the film :Ā¬p

Congrats on finishing up! RYN: I’m not a great bowler either. To be honest, I don’t even know why I do it. Most of the time, I hate the game. Hehe.

Congrats, Peter! I’ve got a friend in New York who finished one as well and I’m trying to get started on mine, as well as two plays, a few biographies, and a book of interviews. Naturally, I don’t intend to do them all at once, but it’s based on what I’m interested in right now, which is all of them. For now, I’m working on a full-length monologue play as well. A bit difficult.

Gratulerer!!

Congrats. I’m very jealous. I love to write, but am at a point in my life where I can’t focus on my writting alone. I’m pre-Vet so my life is consumed with school. I have had a lot of my poetry published and I may soon get a book of poems out, but only time will tell.
