Things are progressing…
My paperwork is being processed and I should have everything in place by my first day of subbing which is on the 26th. The woman that I am subbing for has a ‘due date’ of October 27th. She and her hubby are traveling to Viet Nam to adopt a baby boy that day. His name is Sam and he is a cutie! His picture is up on her wall at school and she and her hubby are so excited. They already have one little boy about 2 years old so he will soon have a brother close in age. She was explaining that they have to go through a ceremony where the baby is given to them and that is equivalent to going to court here. Sounds so much more humane than our system, doesn’t it?
Anyway, every time I run into a teacher and start talking and they find out I am subbing, they ask if I am free on a certain day to sub for them! I think Dennis is right, I will have lots of work even after this 6 week stint is finished! That’s ok by me, we can use the income and like my honey keeps reminding me, I have a hot chauffeur to drive me in every day! LOL!
The paperwork for our refinancing is all set now too and we go in today just to go through all the figures and set everything all up for the official closing on the 22nd. We will be saving $200 a month, actually a little more since the taxes and insurance are now escrowed finally! Now to just finish the work and get to the spring so we can sell this place!
It’s raining right now, but with the severe drought, it’s not doing much good. It’s so bad that one of the lakes we drive by on the way to school is nothing but tiny puddles and a field of rich green grass!! It figures, all over the state everyone has nothing but dried brown dead stuff for their lawn, but the lake is covered with gorgeous grass! Jeeez! LOL!
Well, I guess that’s it for today. My leg is better, I’m still hobbling on stairs but walking pretty good. I bet my old girl Jasmine and I make quite a picture together and we both limp along on her walk! LOL! But I’m mobile enough to clean up and get some stuff done so I am off to do it! Bye for now:)
Hihi, I like the bit with the hot chauffeur! I’m glad it’s all falling into place for you. Take care,

Ryn: ahhh *hugs* and thank you. You’re right. Every now n then I need to hear that from another mom. We always tend to blame ourselves first. thank you for having a voice of reality when my reality is so blurred and stressed.

RYN: wow you have much to stress over. I’m sorry for your ex but I agree with you about Alicia. I’d be beyond myself with worry if it was my daughter. Heck I’m worried now too and I only know her thru the very distant web. If I was near you I’d be giving you a great big hug about now. It’s going to be hard for you and Alicia dealing with her Dad’s illness. I hope for her that she and he can resolve some of their issues before and if anything tragic happens. She’ll need you as her soft place to fall. She may not admit it and try to be “strong” but a girl always needs her Mama. I envy your relationship with her, it’s beautiful. Take care and you can always let go on my page. Big Big hugs and a kiss on the cheek. Now how about you and I opening a bottle of wine, kicking our shoes off while we plop on the sofa : > )
