Quick Pics
I don’t really feel like writing, and since I am home today, there are things I should get done instead of sitting here. Oh well! But there are a few pictures we took last week that I wanted to post.
This is a very rare sight here in this part of North Carolina. Not unheard of by any means, but rare.
Yup, that’s snow. We had been hearing for a week that we would get about 4 inches. It’s still snowing in this picture, but it didn’t get much deeper than this!
It sure was pretty though. Our woods look so gray and drab in the winter but the snow made it all so Christmas Card-y. lol.
This is the next day before it all melted and was still sticking to the trees.
Our old gal Jasmine used to love to play in the snow and I tried to take pictures of her, but she is afraid of the flash so here is a picture of her running away…as much as a 104 year old dog (in people years) can anyway! lol.
As you can see though, we didn’t get anywhere near the 4 inches predicted! But it was cold enough to snow and it has pretty much stayed cold, but we have a cure for that! This is our beloved Scrabble game set up in front of a roaring fire…
It’s only set up on two folding trays, but the rockers are both handed down through Dennis’ family, while the round table to the side is from mine. Cozy indeed:)
I still have pictures of the curtains to put up, maybe later today, depending on how much I get done and if this constant headache I’ve had since I woke up at 2AM ever goes away…
Nice pictures. Snow really does make everything look pretty, for a while. Your scrabble spot looks cozy. ox
