Unscheduled Pop-In

Yesterday, I stopped by Laura’s workplace to say goodbye to her.  I found out earlier in the week that she was going to be leaving, but that she was still going to be working locally.  Even though she was still going to be working locally, the chances of me seeing her much after yesterday were going to be slim to none.  Our paths won’t cross as easily as they once did.  I figured that since I wasn’t doing anything constructive on Friday, I would go and see her for the first time in nearly a year.  She still looks great too.  Truth be told, she was surprised to see me.  She had no idea I was going to be stopping by.  She actually had no idea that I knew that she was going to changing work sites.  I found out on Wednesday that she was going to be leaving, so I didn’t have much time to clear my schedule and drop by.  We parted with a hug and well wishes and that was that.  I’ll miss her to some degree, but I figure if she checks her work e-mail regularly, she really won’t be that far and maybe we could communicate that way.

Laura will be just fine.  I’m sure of it. 

Aside from that, I didn’t do much yesterday.
