Quick Thoughts
At 4:29am, I left the house. Not even a minute into my drive to the office do I see a trash panda crossing the street, like that sort of thing is normal at that hour. Then it occurred to me that being that today was trash day and most folks in the neighborhood put their trash cans along the curb last night, there might be a chance that people leave food in their trash cans. That’s logical, but I will say this though. Trash pandas might be cute. Some people might find them to be a nuisance. But one thing they aren’t is dumb. They’re going to find their food, whether it’s in your trash can or your neighbor’s trash can.
Zoe, my 8-year old kitty, is back home. I imagine that she had quite the night last night while she was hospitalized at the vet. They gave her fluids and medication and she safely made the trip back home. I’m glad that she travels well and doesn’t make too much of a fuss while in her carrier. We’ll see how she adjusts to being home again, even after being gone for just that one night.
Work was work today. Nothing out of the ordinary. I managed to stay busy and productive. I’ll be back at it tomorrow morning. I’m still so far behind, but I figure, if I do things gradually, piece by piece, it’ll all be manageable. Slow and steady will get it done, but I’m also very mindful about doing my work with the style and attention to detail to which I am accustomed. I do my work with a sense of pride that the majority of my co-workers lack, but that’s material for another entry.
I didn’t win in either of my fantasy football leagues this season. I wasn’t even close this time around. I say this every season, but I’m still of the mindset that I don’t know if I’m going to play next year. We shall see. Maybe I’m just done with football and looking forward to baseball getting underway? Maybe.
It’s about that time to get to bed, so I can be renewed to battle the challenges and nonsense that will likely rear their ugly heads tomorrow.
It’s fantastic.
