Abdul Kareem “Duke” Fakir (December 26, 1935 – July 22, 2024) was an American singer. He was a founding member of the Motown quartet the Four Tops, from 1953 until shortly before his death in 2024.

On 07/22/24, the final remaining Top passed away at the age of 88.  Looks like heart failure in this case.  Indeed, may the Duke rest in peace alongside the previous three Tops who passed before him.

The video attached to this entry is my personal favorite song by The Four Tops.  Sadly, we’re not going to be seeing, or hearing as this particular case may be, more songs like this anymore.

Music today is trash.  Bring back yesterday.
