Merry Christmas, Darling

My Dearest Serena,

I don’t know how 2023 would have turned out for me had it not been for you. You came into my world nearly one year ago and within a matter of months, you changed everything for me and the life that I once knew. Change isn’t always easy to deal with, but I want you to know that I wouldn’t change anything about how you and I came together and how we created the amazingly strong bond that exists between us today. I thank the stars above for bringing you into my life because you have made my life that much brighter, and you have made me feel things that I haven’t felt in quite some time.

You mean the world to me and I think the world of you. Strangely, I don’t know what I would do without you in my life. I am eternally grateful that you are here and that you have left the impression on me that you have. I think about you all the time. No matter how hard I try, I just can’t get you off my mind. I know that I’ve told you this many times before, but I’ll be intentionally redundant here and tell you that there is just something about you that has me completely mesmerized and thoroughly captivated. I can’t explain what that is, nor can I put into it words, but you have placed this spell on me, and I am helpless to do anything about it. It’s like I’m in a trance that I can’t seem to shake my way out of.

I will continue to sing your praises with regards to how beautiful you are, how you make me feel inside, and how grateful I am to have you in my life. These are all things that I have told you before and I don’t mind being repetitive because I never want you to forget how I feel about you.

You are the biggest and best gift that could have ever been given to me in 2023. I look forward to what 2024 might have in store for us, because if it’s anything compared to what this year brought us, the future will indeed look very bright with so much more happiness in store.

Serena, I love you so very much and I don’t ever want you to forget this or how I feel about you. Not that I’ve ever particularly cared for the song that is attached to this entry, but in listening to the words more closely than maybe I had in years past, these are the exact words I would say to you. Indeed, all I want for Christmas is you. I want you and I need you in my life. I am glad that you are here and that you and I have forged the connection we have. As time progresses, we can only build upon everything that we have created thus far.

Allow me to wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and to tell you that I love you so much. I also want to thank you again for coming into my life the way that you have and for being the presence that you have become. You are everything to me and I value you and everything that you are. Let’s see what awaits us in 2024. Hand in hand, here we come.
