Yesterday & Today
Remember I was going to get a massage yesterday? Well, it didn’t turn out like that. I was just getting ready to leave yesterday when, whoosh back came the vertigo! I have no idea why but I knew I wasn’t going to drive with it. I called the number I had for Beth only to get a message that she had a different number now. Unfortunately, she has a quiet voice and although she didn’t gabble the number there was one digit I couldn’t hear clearly. I muttered a lot of words I wouldn’t say in front of students when I was teaching and made a guess and luckily the guess was right! So, I postponed the massage until the next Saturday. And actually, this will work out well since the book club meeting has now been moved to Saturday morning and it would be a massage Saturday. Oh, and I have to go to the book club next time since the book was my choice. {A poem and poet of your choice} Going back to the verigo, I grit my teeth, sat on the side of the bed and did the exercises. I HATE doing them because the immediate effect is more vertigo and an upset stomach! About an hour after that, I did them again and suffered through the immediate effects like a good soldier! The result is that I feel fine this morning but sometime this afternoon I will do them again.
Today started off a bit oddly. Usually, I go to bed early-ish and get up early and Fred goes to bed late and gets up late. This morning, I slept until about 8:30, which is late for me and Fred got up at 6 AM. He said at six his brain woke up and so he had to get up! Since he had gone to bed at his usual 2 am, he had only had about 4 hours sleep, so a few minutes ago, at 9:30, he went back to bed again. I hate doing that myself. If I can’t sleep until the small hours, I try to make it through the following day with no naps and go to bed early.
Today I HAVE to get gas because my gas gauge is down to a fourth of a tank left. I will also go to the drug store, turn in my new prescription for eye drops and pick up Fred’s insulin. As an aside, I try to do more than one thing at a time because my Auntie Babs trained me to do this. No one in her house ever went from the living room into the kitchen without looking around to see if there was a cup of a plate to carry, and she stacked laundry on the stairs so people going to bed could carry it with them.

Your Auntie Babs was a very smart lady! I’m glad that your vertigo is better now. I hate that you had to miss your massage though. (((Hugs)))

Yow, that vertigo sounds awful. I’ve had it a time or two, but never this lasting.

If everyone were as efficient as your Aunt Babs, a lot more would get done in this world! I sure wish that darn vertigo would go away and leave you alone for a VERY long time. hugs, Weesprite

Vertigo would suck. I think it is nice to know that you can wake and sleep when you want. I tend to wake up early and I want a nap in the afternoon. I cannot do that. I will enjoy retirement.
