Yesterday and a Bit of Today

Yesterday I walked up Main St  and finally got my hair cut and on the way back I stopped by the drug store to pick up Fred’s prescriptions.. I really wanted some of those miniature Tootsie Rolls. I wanted them so badly that I was prepared to pay the vastly-inflated-before-Hallowee’en prices! But although the drug store was full of miniature this-and-that candy,  they didn’t have any Tootsie Rolls. however, they did have the miniature Werthers chocolate-covered toffee on sale so I bought those and had a genuine pig-out! Well, got that craving out of my system for a while! Usually sweet things are not much of a temptation to me. I can have a small piece of pie or one piece of raisin bread with no problem. I much prefer savory over sweet. But occasionally my body seems to demand sweet and since I am a big believer in listening to my body, I get a bag of sweeties and eat them all!  Then it is all over for a while.

We are having fantastic weather here in our little corner of Vermont. I think last night was supposed to be our second day of a light frost at night but I can’t tell you for sure since I didn’t get up until 8 o’clock {very unusual for me} and if there was any frost, it had disappeared by then. I love this time of year when it is sunny but cool enough to wear a puffy vest over a light long-sleeved seater and go out without a coat. I have gotten a bit lazy about walking lately and need to push myself to do at least one short walk a day. My hip is feeling much better and even when I put my full weight on it, there is only a twinge. So, I will walk today.

Today:

  • walk at least once
  • look for my sweat shirts. This is ideal sweat-shirt weather and I have no idea where they are.
  • do a little house cleaning. I am trying to do a bit every day and so far I am doing pretty well.
  • get all my homework together and organized. It is almost all done. All I have to do is to write a bit {In English, I think but I will check that} about the going-out-and-letting-the-public-know-what-I-have-been-learning project we are required to do. I will write more about that as it develops.
  • I am thinking about tomorrow taking one or two of my pastel painting to be professionally framed. I know this can be expensive so maybe it will only be one! Anyway, today I will look through them and choose.

Ok, time to eat breakfast…

Until later….

we’re having amazing weather here too! loving it!

Oh how I love NE in the fall! I visited a couple of years ago and it was absolutely breathtaking!

The weather here has been awesome too but I still miss the Northeastern falls. Sis, hubby and family were going to visit my aunt this weekend and a trip to Vermont was in the plans. They wanted to see the fall colors. Makes me envious. LOL Have a great Sunday. Hugs, M

Sounds like you had a very good day! I hope today is just a wonderful! <3 Annie-Rae
