Words fail me! EDIT

 EDIT: I called the woman who is supposed to be trying to get our DSL woes sorted and left her a message that my email account had been cancelled. This morning I actually got to talk to her {usually we leave each other messages} and she told me the enail account had been reinstated. Apparently it was cancelled automatically when someone or something somewhere noted that we had no Verizon account!

I checked this morning and it is alive. But, of course, no DSL as yet. Next week will be the sixth week…. hmmm, maybe it will be the seventh…

There is NOTHING nasty I can say about Verizon that isn’t true! As well as keeping us waiting five weeks {and we are still waiting} for DSL., I am here at the library trying to get my email only to be told when I sign onto the library computers that my account has been  cancelled!

So, I guess that means that the order I put in to Amazon for  a text book I NEED for my Italian class won’t be sent to me since I have no email address now? I hope that isn’t true! I desperately NEED that book since the college book store is {of course} out. The instructor told us this morning that she has been using this book for three years and the college bookstore gets about five each year! {The class is 12 students which is small. It generally runs 12-15}}

So, the bottom line is as follows:

  • Italian is fun
  • I hate, loathe and despise Verizon!
  • I am looking forward to pastels starting  next week.
  • Verizon sucks!

If there is any other DSL provider in your area, I’d suggest switching. Verizon has treated you deplorably and have done nothing to warrant any faith in them. They are (as J and I would say) SPOOTY. Verizon has forgotten that they are, above all, a CUSTOMER SERVICE COMPANY. Their customer service, apparently, sucks.

You should call Verizon and tell them that you’ve decided that if they cannot get you hooked up this week then you’ve found another company to go with. They wont want to lose you as a customer so they step it up and hopefully get DSL for you A.S.A.P. Glad you like Italian!!! <3 Annie-Rae

You need to write a big long letter to the head of Verizon and tell him where he can stick his service! Do it now don’t wait any longer. They have forgotten you. Unless they are sending someone from California to hook up your Verizon.

Evidently, Verizon feels they have plenty of customers and no longer feels they have to give customer service. I’m so sorry that you’re having to deal with this right now.

my goodness. I knew what this entry was about before I even started reading. I think I would have cancelled the account myself and moved on. Pff. I can’t believe Verizon.

ryn: NC wouldn’t let me keep my NY plates. If I had let it go past 60 days I would’ve been subjected to these outrageous fines. I found out the cost of registering was so high because NC charges a highway tax. So every year I’ll have to pay a certain amount. RIDICULOUS. It is also ridiculous that you still have no DSL. Did the woman you talked to have any explanation for that?

Good luck on the Italian. I am trying to get better at Spanish. I suck at verb tenses, so I have a workbook to drill with. Sure you see the horizon soon with Verizon. They are awful!
