Whee!

Today I am a year older!

I was on the phone getting a prescription refilled at the drug store when I heard Fred call me. And there was a lovely vase of yellow roses he had got me delivered to the house! {I have pictures but haven’t uploaded them to Photobucket as yet.} My future daughter-in-law got me two things from my Amazon wish list, a book of easy Italian crossword puzzles and a small backpack I will use in Italy to carry my daily stuff around. Actually, I will use it here too!  Fred’s daughters got me summer clothes so I am all set for the summer.

Right now I am between loads of clothes–waiting for one load to dry so I can put the next load in. Our landlord talks about replacing the dryer which is old and slow but I guess won’t do it until it totally quits. Another thing I have done is sort out a bunch of short-sleeved shirts and  t-shirts for Fred. He will try them on this afternoon and decide what he wants to keep and what can go to freecycle.

We went out to the Peking Duck restaurant last night for an early-birthday meal and Fred is having leftovers for lunch right now! I am not going to have a big lunch since I am not hungry having had a two-egg omelet for breakfast  I am seriously considering making scones for tea…
