Well…

Well, what can I say except this entry is still coming to you from the library…

We have reached the point with the unpacking where we are getting down to the little fiddly bits. Yes, there are still boxes that haven’t been unpacked like Fred’s computer desk stuff which will have to wait until he gets a new computer desk and the VCR tapes which have to wait until we decide where we are going to put them! Yesterday I unpacked a box of books and the new big bookshelf is full. There are still books not put up. I don’t know if we are going to get another bookshelf, or even, if we do, where we are going to put it. This morning I found all the bits and pieces that were in the old bathroom cabinet and so I have to find a place for these things. This will take a little reorganizung of the bathroom storage space but not much.

Ok, a total change of subject including some TMI. My new doctor for whom I will eventually coin a snappy name, sent me back to the oncologist who did the surgery for the endometrial cancer in 2000 for a checkup since it had been three years since the last one. The hospital has been rebuilt and everyone has moved and a side effect of this is that I stopped getting reminder letters! Anyway, I am officially saying I LURVE my oncologist since he told me how well I was looking and that I certainly did not look my age!

{TMI coming up!} The testing went well but in the course of discussion, he asked if I had any problems with urination or bowel movements. I told him that like most women of my age , I tend to dribble a few drops of urine when I cough or laugh. But, I also have a problem with bowel movements in that occasionally I cannot tell that I have had one and, like a baby, am informed of the fact because I don’t smell good!  Now, this doesn’t happen very often but it does happen. He told me that he thought I should discuss this with a specialist since this is something that can tends to get worse with age but it is also something that can most likely be fixed. He said he thought I would benefit by knowing what my options were and that since I was in pretty good health right now, I might want to consider either getting it fixed through surgery or opting to wait, say, six months and then having it checked again. So, I have an appointment with a specialist on the 30th of this month. {OK, TMI over! }

Right now I need to finish up here, get a new book or two to read and then go home and call the college bookstore for the THIRD time to see if I can get my books for the Italian class which starts on the 5th of next month. The first time I called, all the books weren’t in; the second time they said no phone orders were taken as long as the website was open. The web site closed for orders yesterday so it will be interesting to see if I can order today…

Until later….

{{HUGS}}…So glad you like this new doctor, and I do hope you can get your “Issues” taken care of with minimal fuss!!!

This is why I’ll never move – too much work! Good for you for getting yourself checked. I think too many people don’t ask questions of their doctor and it benefits you to be proactive.

While you may love your oncologist, I bet he loves you, too, because you always sound like you come to the appointments so very well prepared. If only Verizon was as well prepared! When will you get your access?

The TMI thing: Actually good information for those of us who are going to be where you are. Thank you for sharing.

Thanks for all your notes–good to have you back again…I missed them. Hopefully it won’t be too much longer until the Verizon thing is sorted out. Interesting about your massages and how stress and emotions get stored. I think this school is going to be very therapeutic for me. Glad you are getting settled and are nearly finished unpacking.

Gee, it’ll sure be NICE when you can use your computer at home again!! :o) !! About the TMI…. I used to think I didn’t wanna get old, cuz of certain things like that. But since the time spent taking care of my Brother, I figure….aw, what the heck. That’s not so bad. There are lots worse things! I’m glad that gave me a better perspective, cuz I really DO wanna get to be old someday! I have someolder friends I admire a lot, including you! hugs, Weesprite

what’s the new date on getting your dsl hooked up? i think i’d be raising such a fuss that they’d hook me up to shut me up!!!! hope you get all the info you need when you go to the doctor at the end of the month. take care,

It’s true you don’t look your age and how nice of your lurvely new oncologist to tell you that. So I guess you’ll keep him. 🙂

seems like you still aren’t getting anywhere getting your DSL again, such a hassle it seems like. Good news on the medical front, especially the doctor saying what he did. Sounds like a keeper that one.

I can’t wait to see what you call this new guy! I don’t know how you’re so patient with the Verizon nummies. I’d be ready to scream the house down!!!!! Love to you! ~M

A friend of ours has an 8 ft. high bookcase in their bathroom. Some think it odd, but it does utilize otherwise unused space.
