Wash Day

Today I was going to begin my no-computer-until-I-walk regime but I forgot today was Monday when I made that decision yesterday. I go up and down two flights of stairs to the washer and dryer at least three times on Mondays and so I will regard that as my first walk. The second one will be after I take the first load out of the dryer and put the second one into the dryer—in about 15 minutes.

Today was also the day I was going to begin my getting-back-to-getting-up-early routine. I went to bed at 11 but didn’t go to sleep until after 2 am so, of course, slept until 10:30. I hate that because I can’t get things done when I sleep that late. I woke briefly at 7 and should have got up then but went back to sleep instead. It is not as if it was a particularly restful sleep, either and my back was hurting when I got up.

I feel very restless and somewhat irritable this morning.

Oh, I was amused to see when I went to Amazon this morning that they had three of my wish-list choices on the page and the caption was “Treat Yourself!” I actually maintain a wish list for this reason so that when I need a treat, I know what I can get myself. Speaking of Amazon, since I ordered my new bread machine, the old one has been behaving perfectly!

Until later…

I feel MUCH better when I get out of bed at reasonable hour, like 6:30 or 7 a.m., rather than just let myself lay there till 9 or so. (That’s weekends, of course.) I really enjoy being up and not having to go anywhere, and I get SO much more accomplished during the day when I start early.

Maybe it just didn’t like that one loaf!

Maybe it is a good thing that you slept in a bit. Now you’ll have more energy to do the laundry. Ironic about the bread machine!

I’ve been having the same troubles with getting up. The other day I couldn’t sleep until 5 a.m., so I slept until 4 p.m!! Not good.

I’m starting to wake up much too early. Wish I knew how to sleep a bit later. 🙂

Machines, who can figure them out? RYN I have a 2 pound machine and it fills the bucket. I just use the regular setting. The oatmeal nut loaf I made today seems nice and moist and the test piece I ate is yummy. Will put that recipe on my site soon.

Not sleeping well and waking up with a backache sure can make one irritable! I hope you are feeling better now. I have a backache too, and I rarely get them. Joe said I must’ve pulled a muscle with all the coughing I was doing. That would certainly be strange! I hope the rest of your day and evening go well. And am glad you can get a special treat from Amazon! hugs, Weesprite

Doesn’t that drive you nut, you order a new one and the old one is fine. I tend to get attached to things and hate to give them up. Right now I am loving our crockpot. I am having fun cooking with it. Ryn: You are right about that, you do grow up with a baby. I just want what ever is best and right for her and the rest of us. We will see if she does do this we will be there, it takes a family.

Wouldn’t you know! Ornery Bread Machine. You scared it into behaving well. Don’t believe it. If you cancelled the order for the new one, it will get lazy again and misbehave! LOL!
