Today

Well, I suppose I had better write something about today but actually, I feel as if I did nothing except go for a walk.

Oh, yes, I did go for a massage today and I paid Beth {masseuse} for 20 massages. I was going to cut myself down to one a month in order to save money for italy . I mentioned this to her a couple of weeks ago so yesterday she called me as I had requested and told me the price for 12, but, she said, if I wanted more than that, … and then she gave me a really good price. So, since I have four left for this year, I went ahead and invested in 20 more. I usually buy 24 but I had 4 not used from the time Beth hit a moose with her car, woke up in the emergency room and was not doing anything except recover for a considerable time! So, I am all set for next year!

I really feel I have wasted today. Well, tomorrow we have plans to go to Costco and that should get me out of the house, anyway!

Number of steps walked today: 3012

Until later….

Today wasn’t wasted – you took care of yourself and invested in your self-care for the rest of the year.

I would love to waste a day right now. Luckily Christmas break starts after Friday…2 weeks of bliss.

A nice massage is never a waste. I always feel like it’s a waste of a massage if I jump up off the table and DO something. All that relaxation shot to pieces. LOL! Sounds like you made good use of it.

You are supposed to rest on Sunday!

December 17, 2006

i second Cats Rule’s thought – you are SUPPOSED to rest on Sunday. i did a lot of that today. Went to church with the oldest daughter, then went to brunch. Hub met us at the restaurant since he refuses to go to the “late service” that starts at 10:45. Then i came home and read the newspaper, took a nap and then watched TV. Seriously. i accomplished NOT one thing – WAIT, yes i did! Silly…icleaned the bird cages and finished wrapping gifts in the middle there somewhere. STILL, you walked WAY more steps than i did!

I call this a good day, not wasted at all.

Wow, hitting a moose is scary!

A break is necessary and never a waste. It’s your re-energizing time.

Wow, 20 massages – How COOL!!! 🙂

No day is a waste unless we see it so! :o) !! I was busy all weekend, but did not do one lick of anything around this house. So I tossed in one load of laundry yesterday evening and called it all good! hugs, Weesprite

Sounds like a nice relaxing day. Isn’t that what retirement is all about? Never feel one bit guilty about living your life that way. You worked hard for it and you deserve it.

I’m so glad you found my “home on the web!!” Writing here has really helped mt to keep my sanity! Compared to some of the entries I’ve read on My-space and even here at OD my life is pretty boring and mundane….believe me I like it that way!! Taking a day off for you is not wasted! That is the Puritan guilt seeping through for having fun and leisure!
