Today
Today:
- Had a shower and washed my hair.
- Made a loaf of home-made bread with the help of the bread machine.
- Washed, folded and put away three loads of clothes.
- Made a yummy chicken stir fry that involved a lot of cutting up of fresh veggies.
- Got my cell phone problems sorted out.
- Went for a 30 minute walk.
- Inspected Fred’s incision.
- Talked to the visiting nurse who will be back on Thursday.
- Heard Fred say again to the visiting nurse that he wants to get better and will do physical therapy. He also said he will go to see his kidney doctor in two weeks. This means he will have to be able to walk downstairs and back up again.
- Watched the first of my Star Wars DVDs that arrived today.
- Sent my three NetFlix DVDs back this morning.
- Brought Malcolm upstairs to visit. Mike and Melanie left him at home with the next door neighbor being responsible for walks and feeding and Fred being responsible for ear-rubs! {They left the door under the stairs that leads to their apartment unlocked so I could get in and entice Malcom upstairs}
- Walked up to the drug store after dark to get Fred’s two prescriptions that were finally called in to the drug store after three increasingly desperate calls to the doctor. These are new drugs that, apparently, he has to take after the heart attack and he today was the day he was out.
Now I am off to wash the dishes and then maybe watch another Star Wars movie. We did not play Scrabble.
Until later…
i’m so happy fred felt up to giving ear rubs! take care,

I wished you rented from me. I would have to sneak over for some fresh bread and my dog loves a good ear rub.

Whew, you have been busy! Too bad about the Scrabble, but you did have your Star Wars to watch. Good for Fred and his new-found positive attitude. He must be getting better.

Wow, what a hectic day with the medications! I didn’t even know dogs liked ear rubs.

Pets are very good for healing; I honestly don’t know what I would have done without my Bushi-baby during cancer treatment. (This is also the World’s Meanest Cat) She stayed by my side when I was bedridden, and would just purr or let me stroke her. Glad to hear that Fred is doing better.
