Thoughts on Eating

I always eat breakfast. When you are a parent you quickly discover that telling a child that breakfast is the most important meal of the doesn’t seem to get the idea across if you, the parent, skip breakfast. So, I have had let’s say 15 years of being an Good Example to first kid and just when I think I can slack off breakfastwise, along comes second kid and good examples start all over again. So, I always eat breakfast.

But usually my breakfast is toast and coffee or a bowl of cereal and a banana except on the days I go to school. On those days I add two eggs scrambled or in an omlette with cheese. And that lasts me until I get home and helps me to stay away from the Delicious but Evil Brueggars Bagels with cream cheese that leap out and force me {force me, I tell you!} to eat them at noon after class.

But for some reason this morning I was really hungry around 8 am and breakfast consisted of a two-egg omelette with cheese, two slices of whole wheat bread with Marmite, a banana and a cup of coffee. So when it came to lunch–usually around 12-ish, I wasn’t hungry. I had a Schwanns Fudge stick–50 delicious fudgy calories and let the rest of lunch go. Which meant, of course that around 4:30, I was hungry, very hungry. So, I had a big plate of Chinese leftovers, the ones I was planning to have for the evening meal which we usually have at 6 pm. And that took me through the whole evening until now, 11 pm when I felt hungry again. So, I am off to bed with two slices of sesame seed bread, toasted and with Marmite.

I quite like this pattern of eating…

Until later….

I love omelettes, too, but try not to have them too often. I generally stick with Cheerios in the summer or a bowl of hot oat bran with raisins, Splenda, and cinnamon in the winter.

LOL! Those nasty bagles will force themselves down your throat every time!

I could LIVE on omelettes!!!

I LOVE bagels! 🙂

since going back to atkins, it seems I have had a million omelettes- I use to love them, but I’ve about had enough now.

*huggs* bagles from hell!

Omelets for me are comfort food. I’ve found a spanish variation of them that has potatoes and onions in it that is simply delicious, and very satisfying. Add in toast and tea and I’m pretty content.

I always eat breakfast. I never eat eggs for breakfast at home.

I just plain love EATING! :o) !! (Bagels do not have to force themselves on me; they do have to run from me, though, cuz I chase ’em!) hugs, Weesprite

forgot breakfast yesterday. but, wasn’t hungry til lunchtime. ate lunch and wasn’t hungry at dinnertime. ate just once yesterday and i’m still not hungry. i know that’s not right but i’m determined not to eat unless i’m hungry. take care,

I always have to eat something for breakfast and right now my item is a good hot bowl of oatmeal! E on the other hand can’t stand to eat much before noon. that just about makes going out to breakfast impossible for us. * sighs * Hugs, M

You made me hungry…

I should learn from you being a good example, and start eating breakfast. I just never feel hungry in the mornings.

Why don’t I have Chinese leftovers? I want some now!

I’ve never been a morning eater. I stick closer to the Italian model of cappuccino and some bread for breakfast, with a small lunch and a huge (late) dinner.

I swear there is some high pitch message would don’t recognize conciously coming from those restaurants! I like days were it’s easy to go with the flow with hunger patterns. 🙂

I saw this really cute egg separator thingy at the mall… it’s a ceramic chicken, and there’s a little hole in his mouth to let the white out but keep the yellow in. I may just have to buy it 🙂 And bagels… jeepers. I just found these special bagels at Panera bread. I’m not sure what kind they are (they call them pink ribbon bagels… breast cancer month and all). It could be cherries or strawberries or something. But man are they good. I’ll have to have J get more.

Omelets are evil, I adore them, but all those eggs…so every once in awhile, I treat myself to one. Maybe today…

Since being on WW I always eat a big breakfast. It helps me not eat much at lunch. Then I eat supper very early (around 5) which I think helps on the weight loss. And I dearly love bagels, too, but havent had one in forever.

Sounds good. I hope that the marmite was nice and thick. 🙂

Today I am back to eating healthily, and I am having Nutritious and Delicious Oatmeal for breakfast even if it kills me! (It prob’ly won’t….) ryn: when I worked as a Cook, I frequently had dreams about cooking for the 500 I cooked for. Often I’d wake up feeling I had already put in a day’s work! hugs, Weesprite (wishing you a lovely day!)

i love the freedom of it all! you were in tune with your hunger and non hunger. isn’t that a wonderful feeling!

oh yes! i do have a birdfeeder but the birds aren’t using it. the hummingbirds use my hummingbird feeder though.

I donno why I thought this funny. probably because I am demeanted.
