This & That

So today was the "visit your own doctor" that I promised to do after I went to the walk-in clinic a week or so ago. The resident who gets to practice on me is a really nice guy whose first name is Pierre and his last name begins with a Z, is very hard to pronounce and is Polish. He was brought up in Canada and immediately said the first time I met him, and stumbled over his name, "Oh, call me Pierre Zee!" Anyway, the bottom line is that he told me he could hear no fluid in my lungs. He also said that bronchitis often clears up slowly. The he went out to check with the boss doctor and came back laughing. Apparently he had told the boss doctor that I had promised the people at the clinic to check with my own doctor because the message from Dr. P {the boss doctor} was that I had to promise them that I would come back in two weeks if I was still coughing and short of breath!

Tomorrow I have to get up and be semi coherent by 8:30 in order to get my car in to the repair shop by 9 am! Enterprise is supposed to be bringing me out a car to use for two days while mine is being made as good as new.
What I am reading :

  • Water for Elephants by Elizabeth Gruen {For the book club meeting tomorrow}
  • Careless in Red by Elizabeth George
  • The Anatomy of Deception by Lawrence Goldstone

Clear lungs = good news! I’m glad that they’ve all cleared up now. You gave me quite the scare.

Thank GOODNESS!!!! 🙂 🙂

Ugggh…I’m so grateful I haven’t had that horrid bronchitis since I quit smoking. I’m glad to hear yours isn’t horrid right now.

My aunt,of so many lung problems checked herself out of hosp AMA. She doesn’t take care of herself, so I won’t either. I am so frustrated in trying to care for her. You seem so sensible, would you like me to adopt you? I would like to have someone like you to care for in my daily endeavors. hahahaha read on gal, read on. have fun…dan

Sounds like good news!

Woo-hoo! Glad your lungs are clear. I read Water for Elephants. I pretty much liked it except for the X-rated stuff.

Good news!!!! How is Water For Elephants? I had thought about picking it up but haven’t. Is it good? Hugs, M

Will you let me know how Water for Elephants is? I’ve read two other books by her (both horse themed) and I wasn’t sure if I should get Water for Elephants or not. 🙂

ryn: I would love for you to send me the book! 🙂

Glad you’re better!!! RYN: Honestly! People don’t realize that they can comment on the baby (ie how cute the baby is, or how much hair they have, etc.)… without saying what kind of relative you are!! I used to get the worst looks when I would carry my nieces around. I was 16 (probably looked 12), and had a toddler and an infant with me in Wal*Mart most times. Oh, the mean looks…
