The Rest of the Day

A couple of days ago, Fred left me a note {in fun} about him hoping my grade in Italian II went up to an A because he didn’t hang around with people who made only Bs! So, this evening I went into the kitchen to tell him he could hang out with me with a clear conscience because I just got an email saying I had an A! Mind you, la prof was  more generous with me than I would have been with myself. Towards the end, I definitely slacked off and if *I* was grading myself, I would have given me a B!

This afternoon I went to the local plant nursery very reluctantly because it was cool in the house and hot outside. Fred mentioned I could go to Costco and get potato salad and sliced cheese if I wanted to and since it was on the way, I did that. The nursery still didn’t have impatiens so I got three red geraniums to put in the other hanging basket. I may go to South Burlington tomorrow and try the big nursery down there. I was exhausted when I got back today partly from the heat but mostly from frustration and annoyance that the nursery still didn’t have what they told me they would have today. I think if I go out early tomorrow I will not be as tired as I was today. I came back, lay on the bed, read for about ten minutes and then slept for an hour and a half…

Oh, and Fred added raw onion, red-wine vinegar and something else I can’t remember to the very bland Costco potato salad which improved it enormously!

The potato salad sounds great on a hot day like today. I think I may make some for Monday’s grill out. Try not to overdo!

Congratulations about the A. I think you taking on a new language is a terrific thing, and shows what a strong character you are. And aren’t afternoon naps lovely?

Congrats on the “A”. They’ve always turned my crank.

Gee, I hope you find impatiens tomorrow! When a place tells us they’re going to have something, they should have it! Congratulations on the A!! That reminds me, one time in college when I was taking History of the Middle Ages, my favorite prof., Dr. Halstead, gave me a B+ on a research paper I wrote on the Jewish scholar Maimonedes. I was soooo annoyed with the B+ that I went to his office to argue the issue. He would not change my grade, and I got so angry that I stormed from his office in a huff…. forgetting to take my backpack and jacket!!!! I think I NEARLY even slammed the door on my way out!! How mortified I was when I discovered that I had to go BACK and get my things!! :oO !! It’s a wonder he didn’t lower my grade to a B- !! hugs, Weesprite

Congratulations. It’s just as well you’re not grading yourself if you’re going to be that tough on yourself. lol 🙂

I love a man who cooks and who can add something other than salt to a dish. Think I need to go out and get some potato sald myself!

Is it just me that finds it funny that “impatiens” are the fower you have to wait for?

🙂 well done you!!! I just knew it! Now, doesn’t that tell you something about you rather than about the prof? 😉 I figure that you were probably A* before you slacked off but you were comparing yourself with people that probably shouldn’t have been in Italian II but in Italian III. Well done anyway!!!

ryn: Boy do I *wish* he could repel mosquitoes. That would be the best skill ever. Congratulations on the A 🙂

Congratulations on the A!!

I find that men take more chances with food. Art makes wonderful salad, too. As for the A, I’m sure that you deserved it.

Congratulations on the grade bump up!!!
