The {Excessive Bleeping} Move

For the next two weeks, I will probably talk about nothing but this {excessive bleeping} move — so you have been warned!

  • one box is filled with books thanks mostly to Fred. I will do at least one other today.
  • Have I mentioned I am SO glad Fred will deal with the utilities? {We got email from Melanie who told us when the utilities were being cut off for them and the numbers to call to have them turned on for us. I printed it out for Fred.}
  • I still get all pissed off in a silent way when I remember New Landlord pointing out that if we weren’t out of here by the last day of the month {because new rent begins on the 1st of next month} we would have to pay for two apartments. No, he didn’t come right out and put it in so many words but that is what he meant. Of course he has the right to do this and he needs us out so he can move in, but my thought is that if ANYONE finds themselves in the position of having to pay two rents, the Officially Old people on fixed incomes will find it more difficult to do that the young, unmarried, working-for-realtor-father man will.
  • It is only money. it is only money. itisonlymoney…..
  • Ok, I know I am over-reacting. I know this is panicking again. I know it will pass. I will shut up now.
  • I am marking off days on a calendar. We need to be packed by the 29th. This morning, knowing it was a Thursday, I crossed off the 20th. Then, I literally felt my heart rate go up when I looked at the Be-Ready-By date. Thankfully, I next  I realized that, yes, it IS Thursday, but it is the 13th not the 20th!
  • I was thinking that I would put art stuff in a box today, too, since I am too stressed to do art but maybe I need to do art to be less stressed?
  • yes, I like that idea. I can feel my spirits lifting at that thought.
  • Since we live in such a small area, we both DO have off-season clothes packed in plastic boxes. One less thing to pack!
  • Enough of this. It will get done.

Until later….

I don’t envy you, not one little bit.

I know exactly how you’re feeling right now. I’m still looking around at the stuff that didn’t fit on the truck and wondering if it will fit in my car and worrying about the tredmill and all that. Bleh. We’ll both get through it all. 🙂

yes, it WILL get done- though i feel for you. 2 weeks is not long, but then it is never long enough, however long you have.

*smiling* We are so much alike, you and I. I want to rush right over and start ORGANIZING and getting you packed up. and giving advice. I’m a “get it done and get it over with” kind of person. Somehow, it eventually all gets done. But the new landlord sounds like a regular poo-head. You may not want to unpack right away. :-X

It pisses me off that the new landlord said this to you and Fred, too. Cuz you are right; for one thing, older people living on fixed incomes would have a harder time than others if they had to pay two rents. I can’t stand it when people are inconsiderate and uncaring of others. GRRRRR! It WILL all work out, though! hugs, Weesprite

Oh I know how your feeling all too well. I do not envy you right now. *HUGS* <3 Annie-Rae

Wow…I have to say this new landlord seems just that. A landlord with little consideration for your feelings or situation. On top of the doubling rent thing…I dont know. This guy seems cold. After Mike and Melanie…who were kinder and warmer.

hmmm, that new landlord should be a LITTLE bit more understanding. I am sure that things will fall into place just right.
