Thankful

What I am thankful for:  {one of my favorites did this today which reminded me that I hadn’t done it for a long time.

  • Fred is walking around the house without needing to use  his walker.
  • My IMac. The more I use it, the more I appreciate it. This morning, I am putting more music on it.
  • Amazon which sends all my Christmas gifts to their intended recipients without me having to do more than click a couple of time. And, in case you were wondering, their Amazon Prime is absolutely worth it as much as I use Amazon, AND, since Fred has the same address as me, he, too, can use it and use second day mailing!
  • The two gadgets I use the most: My Kindle and my IPod Nano.
  • That so far, the snow is very light.
  • My continuing good health which allows me to go out right after this and clean the light snowfall off the two cars
  • My treadmill. I could be pushing myself a little more on this but I can see an improvement in stamina since I am now able to walk twenty minutes at 2.5 mph without being utterly exhausted.
  • My 13th check {which is a lump sum of the year’s cost-of-living raises in my teacher retirement pension} This enables me to buy myself 24 massages for the coming year.
  • Beth, whom I have been getting massages from for years. She gives me a very good discount if I buy in bulk and pay cash.
  • Fred and I between us have enough money to keep our apartment warm and to buy food.
  • All you nice people who read white I write here on Open Diary

Nice entry, Patricia, with all the good news and other good stuff. I’m glad that your darling Fred is able to walk without his walker, now. Hurray for the 13th check and massage discounts! I’m grateful for you.

…and one of the things I’m thankful for is being able to read Patricia.

It is really easy for me to observe all the progress you have made healthwise. And to see the strength and determination that you display is remarkable. I hope you don’t mind but I often use you for an example for others to follow when I am story telling at the local coffee shops. You are marvelous and beyond description but I manage, hahahha be well and have fun…dan

Nice entry. I think it’s time for me to do one of these, especially since everything seems to be going wrong right now. I need to concentrate on what we DO have and be thankful for that. HUgs,M
