Thank you!

I want to thank you all for the nice and very helpful notes which helped me put the whole I-can’t-lift-my-leg thing into perspective. I see now that I was back at my old "I’ve gotta be perfect" way of looking at this. And, of course, as someone remarked, how often in Real Life will I ever be making this move?

The temperature is 71 degrees and the humidity is 55%  so, after I have brushed my teeth, I am off for a half-mile walk. It also occurred to me that I should get in my car some time today and suss out a mile walk somewhere away from the stink and noise that is Main Street {which is where I take the half mile walk.} When I was walking twice a day, I much preferred the back streets of this little town.

And, something to look forward to is physical therapy in a pool this afternoon.

I hope you get to feeling better. PT this afternoon should be very nice.

That’s a very good idea, to find yourself a walking route that is nicer and quieter. And sometimes notes from OD friends really do make one’s day! :o) !! hugs, Weesprite

RYN: Thanks! It’s easier for ME to read too!!

A lovely stroll through the back streets sounds … um … LOVELY!

Do enjoy…..perfection is over rated….(smiles)..take care.

Things will get better with therapy and you’re doing your exercises daily too. I know how you feel, I’m impatient when it comes to these things too.

ryn: I could google it, but roughly how much in US currency would those be? I am *really* tempted to order them 🙂

You’ll be back to normal soon enough. Be patient!

Good grief! I couldn’t deal with that type of humidity! Yuck!

Enjoy your walk!! HUgs, M

🙂 I’m still impressed by that half mile. A nice place to do it sounds great!

I’m so glad you feeling better and more positive about things.

I’ll trade you humidity…. though mine’s not so much worse…56%, on the low side for us. It’s usually a lot higher than that. The pool sounds lovely! I wanna come too! Love ya! ~M

I see it’s less than a month until your trip! I am getting soooo excited for you!

If you can walk half a mile a day, you’re doing great Patrisha! As for the scissor-kick thing, they probably cut the muscle/nerve you need to do that when they put your hip in… since you can walk and you can swing your leg/hip out sideways when you’re vertical it’s really not a big deal. You’re not a gymnast or acrobat sweety! (huggles)

Many hugs! That’s one of the hardest lessons that I’ve had to learn in life, that everything does not have to be perfect in order to make progress. I think you have made remarkable strides since the surgery

i tried that position you mentioned in your last entry. i can do it but don’t do it very often. i’m rarely on the floor lifting my leg. you’ll eventually be able to do it. just be patient. a quiet walking route is a good idea. merlyn and i need to find us a new place to walk. take care,

A change of scenery is usually a good thing. 🙂 Have fun at PT!

ryn: He likes *some* country. He just can’t handle a whole concert full 🙂

RYpN: Absolutely! I feel like a dolt for not having thought to specifically list that before. Since you made your request private, I’ve simply added your name to my list.
