Sunday

Well, I have been honestly trying to like Firefox but I just lost a whole entry since the stupid program thought that every time I typed a word I was trying to search for it! Very annoying! So, I am back here  using MIE again.

It was really odd to get up this morning at what my watch said was 8 am and discover it was really 9 am. I like the extra light of the clock forward time but it takes me a few days to adjust to it.

This morning my breakfast consisted of half a pizza and a slice of the two-cheese bread I made yesterday, toasted. That was at 9 am and I am only just beginning to feel a little hungry at 4 pm. So, I guess a big breakfast does keep the hungries away! However, I am sure that pizza and bread is not nutritionally good! When I have finished here I have to make a big salad and since Fred got some cottage cheese, I will have some of that. I really asked him to get the cottage cheese because I have a bread recipe using it that sounds good but I only need a small amount for the bread. Cottage cheese was something I learned to like in the year I was losing weight. It is not something I would eat every day, like Marmite, but I was surprised I liked it because it doesn’t look good!

The weather here in Vermont today has been in the middle fifties with gusting wind and intermittent sunshine. I went for one walk before it rained and one walk after it rained and I enjoyed both of them. The iPod played a lot of Paul Simon’s “Graceland” CD and it was excellent walking music.

Things still left to do:

  • Make a loaf to give to Robin when I go to tutor her at 10 am tomorrow
  • Plan my pencil sketch and get it roughed out. I will probably do this tomorrow while I am waiting for the machines to wash and dry the clothes
  • Make a salad. I need to do this first since I am now beginning ro feel hungry after my peculiar breakfast and two walks.. One nice thing about making a salad is that I can eat while I am fixing it. I love baby-cut carrots.

Until later…

I wonder what the problem was with Firefox for you. I have been using it now for several weeks and absolutely LOVE it.

I love Graceland and realize I haven’t listened to it in a long time…And it IS peppy and upbeat.

Didn’t much care for Foxfire, but I do use and have for quite some time, Mozilla. I’m still trying to get rid of some spyware type thingy from when I last foolishly used IE.

I like my cottage cheese with either pineapple, or grated peppers and carrots and a bit of onion in it…. You can also mix a bit of sweetener and cinnamon in it, spread it on toast and pop it under the broiler, so it melts!!!!!!!! Love ya! ~M

RYN: not just snow, but BLIZZARD. Seriously it’s been snowing for 24 hours. More than 24 hours actually. Stupid western NY. And tomorrow? It’s suppose to be 45 degrees out again. Absolutely ridiculous. I wish I could draw. I’m envious of people who can. 🙂

Added you to my favourites Patrisha: sorry, I didn’t realise you weren’t already on it. Now you can bore yourself to sleep with my entries again! All the best

I’m glad you got two good walks in today! ryn: I guess I have often felt “invisible” too, which might explain my constant urge to communicate with others now. My Brother was always the “shining one.” hugs, Weesprite

I still love Foxfire…… I forced myself to like cottage cheese….. tho I wouldn’t consider it a favorite food!…. 🙂

you have so many creative talents….I hope your body clock adjusts quickly to the time change so you can continue with each days challenge with energy. hugs

I’ve been using Firefox only. But I know the feeling of losing an entry. I always copy what I wrote before hitting ANY button.

April 3, 2005

I love cottage cheese! And Paul Simon’s Graceland is probably my favorite CD of all time. 🙂

April 3, 2005

I keep thinking about bread machines after reading your diary. Wonder why? 🙂

April 4, 2005

April 4, 2005

Yum, I’m a fan of carrots too.

I’m with you – never thought I would like Cottage Cheese, but found out I do.

I’ll bet that nobody else has a tutor like Robin does, bringing a present of homemade bread. Lucky woman!

April 4, 2005

I love cottage cheese mixed with applesauce.

That’s exactly what I like about a salad as well! I’ve been having a bag of salad a day – sometimes 2 – because they’re only 30 calories for a whole bag & I put some salad seasoning on it, shake it up then eat! There’s enough for me to pick at as well as put on the plate with whatever else I’m having. And I love cottage cheese but only with pineapple – don’t like any of the others.
