Stuff for the Day

Well, I had another next-to-no sleep last night. I went to bed at around 11 pm and when I turned off the light my brain started running around in circles so I couldn’t sleep. At 2 am, I got up and played Bookworm and Alchemy and Stumbled-around until about 5:30 am. Then I went to bed and slept for three whole hours. But today hasn’t actually been too bad. I had a physical therapy appointment at 1 pm and that livened me up.

I had another session of flexing the left abductor muscle as if I was trying to lift my leg when it is already as high as it will go on seven pillows between my legs. It seems such a trivial little thing to do but I can definitely feel that muscle has been used. Let’s see, more pliès and squats and more putting the full weight on one leg. I always start with 10 minutes on the stationary bicycle but today Candace looked at me, frowned and asked if I had noticed that my knees were too close together. Well, yes, I actually have very flat feet and when I am not concentrating on walking on the edges of my feet, I am knock-kneed! So she  pulled the knees apart and told me to do three more minutes concentrating on this. {insert deep sigh in here}. I can see arch supports in my future! Oh, and she did another evaluation on my progress and I asked to see the numbers and compare them with the previous ones. I DO seem to be doing somewhat better.

What I haven’t done today is to study for the Italian test but I should be able to review before I leave at midmorning tomorrow. I have two vocabulary sheets and in the book to review the adjectives that go before the nouns. {Most adjectives go after the nouns in Italian.}

I am actually looking forward to ceramics. I haven’t been able to get to get to trying out the wheel as yet because the day I was going to try it was the day the school shut down early because of snow.

Oh yea, most of us Americans can do 9 or 10 pillows, no sweat. hahaha Definitely you are knockkneed. We must work on that, let’s see you put your left foot in, then put you left foot out, then you put your left foot in, then you shake it all about………..Nope, wrong exercise. Well, enjoy and have fun at your classes…dan

*huggs*

Hi! Thanks for your message. I teach at a charter school for at risk students, so sometimes it gets very frustrating. It seems we have a lot in common. Feel free to give me advice on my teaching skills anytime.

LOL @ Dan! Silly boy! Is there something wrong with arch supports? Seems like that would help realign a lot of things that might be out of whack. The foot bone’s connected to the ankle bone, the ankle bone’s connected to the shin bone…. Between Dan and me, we have a lot of music for you today! 😀

Have you ever tried Valerian at bedtime? It’s a natural, non-addictive sleep aid.

Thinking of you.

The pottery wheel is a blast. It is hard to master but it is so much fun even when you mess it, it doesn’t matter.

Alchemy! I used to play that! I must look it up again, since I too spend time wandering about in the middle of the night! :o) !! hugs, Weesprite

*hugs* I’m absolutely addicted to bookworm. *sigh* lol!

Hope you get to try out the wheel soon.

I’ve been having that kind of sleepless night, also. Now it is almost 5:30 and I am debating whether or not to go back to bed. I’m knockkneed and no amount of concentrating will change that.
