Stuff

Last day of class today. There are definitely three and possibly four of us in Italian I coming back for Italian II. La prof said that they-who-make-the-rules say that there must be between 8 to 24 to sign up for Italian I and II together which next semester run one after the other so, since there is always a good sign-up for I, she has high hopes that II will make.

Anyway, Matteo gave his speech on his project. He speaks slowly normally and he slowed down for me {It’s gotten to be a joke now because I ask EVERY time for them to speak more slowly} and, much to my surprise, I understood almost every work he said! I was astounded! During the speeches of the others, I got, oh, maybe the key words and since I knew what their projects were about, I understood most of what they said, but in Matteo’s speech, I really, truly understood what he was saying!

I was up at 4 am this morning . I actually didn’t want to be up at that time, but that was the time my eyes snapped open so I got up. Leslie came at 8 am and we went for a walk. After this was over at about 8:30-ish, I came back in the house with Leslie because she wanted to use the bathroom, and to my surprise, Fred was up. Usually I don’t come back in the house after the Tuesday walk–I just get straight into my car and go to school so actually he could have been up at that hour any day I leave for class but I was surprised because he usually doesn’t come to bed until the small hours. Anyway, I went for a two-hour nap after school and we are going out to eat in a bit.

My car is parked on the street right now and I MUST remember to get it in when we come back.

Number of steps walked today: 4098 –not too bad for only one walk. Tomorrow I walk with Leslie in the morning and have plans to take myself down to the library in the afternoon. It should make for a good total tomorrow!

Until later….

FanTASTIC about the Speech – You’re really cookin’ on the language acquisition – I’m very jealous! 🙂 We walked today too, but not too far…I want to walk EVERY day. RYN: Really? VERY cool – I now have to figure out how to get the WMA files from my ‘puter onto the Pod.

I need to get a good pedometer. RYN: Thank you! Hopefully my sick-germs respect authority!

Keep on a walkin! I bet you’ll miss your Italian class. You really seemed to get a lot of enjoyment out of it. By the way, where has Fred been? Haven’t seen an entry from him in awhile Hugs, M

It’s hard to believe that your Italian I class is over! It seems like just yesterday you were talking about starting. 🙂 I hope Italian II happens and that it’s just as fun and useful.
