Starting today
- It is snowing
- Today at 10:30, I have an appointment with the ophthalmologist
- I must remind him that as well as having my glaucoma checked, I need a prescription for glasses. I told Fred yesterday that sometimes I feel I see better without the glasses.
- Our landlord is back. I hear him moving around upstairs.
- I thought I hated my haircut. In fact, I kept a hat on all the time I was at the book club meeting because I did hate my hair cut.
- However, I washed it this morning and the verdict is that it isn’t all bad! But I have to say that is mostly due to my very easily managed hair than the actual cut.
- I must remember to allow enough time to clear the snow off my car. it looks light and fluffy…
- Have I mentioned that Fred isn’t a snorer but he is a talker? He just said, "What are you asking? I don’t understand what you are asking!"
- I am thinking about getting one of those things one uses to straighten hair. The hair at my temples is silver which I love but it is frizzy which I don’t love. I am used to my hair doing what *I* want it to do. This silver hair has a mind of its own.
- I ordered this cross body bag from Zappos.com a couple of days ago. I am looking forward to getting it.
- I also read an article a few days ago about some people being given training to help them be more sensitive to the needs of people with handicaps. One comment I remember is that of a young man who said he didn’t realize how many difficulties there were when walking with a cane. For example, I feel as if I have only one hand that I can use. So, if I have a shopping bag and want to open a door, I have to put down the bag, open the door, hold the door open with my shoulder and then pick the bag up again. And that is why I have to have a cross body purse, also.
- The clock I just looked at says it is ten past eight. It really means it is ten past nine. I must do something about that.
- When I turned the wireless network on last night, the time on the Kindle updated immediately. Have I mentioned I love my Kindle lately?
- Ok, time to finsh my coffee, brush teeth, put on a coat and go outside to sweep snow off my car…

My MIL’s hair was curly and straight, depending on where it went white. Her hairdresser loved playing with it because it was such a challenge.

I like my hair straightener gadget – really does the job on my bangs. I just got a Sony Reader after finding out that we can’t get Kindle’s in Canada. I know its not supposed to be as good, however its all we’ve got so I will just have to be satisfied with that….sigh…. I have 2 “atomic” clocks that are controlled by the time signal from Colorado so they automatically keep the correct time, even daylight savings time.

I find the cross body bag is not good for a woman with large breasts – it has no place to be without smashing something and causing discomfort. I like huge totes – they stay on one shoulder and I can carry a lot that way.

80 and breezy here today. It won’t last, but it’s been a lovely treat for a few days.

It must have been — what? — two days since you mentioned how much you love your Kindle. LOL! I used to be a sleep-talker. I don’t know if I quit talking or if Thorn stopped listening.

My MIL not only talks in her sleep she has heated arguments with whoever she is dreaming about. 🙂 – – – –

SNOW?! This far into March?? I’d lose my mind!

cross body bags are great. I learnt that when on crutches. You are so right about having a cane meaning you only really have one hand you can use…and carrying weight becomes difficult.

Yes, people don’t realize how much one can’t do while walking with a cane. I had one guy who waited for me to open the door and I was the one with the cane! Elton talkes in his sleep once in awhile. Mostly, he snores- very LOUDLY! LOL Hugs,M

A flat iron / hair straightener? The best way to get smooth hair with one is to run a comb through your hair right in front of the flat iron. That way you don’t just press any kinks into it. 🙂

Joe used to talk in his sleep, and said some things that most certainly do not bear repeating at times!! :oO !! He miraculously stopped the sleep-talking after he retired from the military, though! I think nearly everyone would benefit from some training to help them learn how to be more understanding of the challenges handicapped people face. Most people, even if they are good-hearted people in general, just don’t give such things a second thought if they’ve never had to experience a handicap themselves! hugs, Nicky

Is your Kindle’s battery lasting as long as it should? It seem to me that mine is running out faster then its supposed to. I tend to keep the wireless off unless I’m actually shopping with it and its running down in just a few days. ♥

When I first was married, I talked in my sleep a lot. I don’t think I do it any more. I know that Richard said that he could ask me questions and I’d answer them even though I was sound asleep. I’m thankful I don’t do that anymore! Right now, we have warm weather, but I think it’s supposed to turn a lot cooler tonight and tomorrow. Our weather can’t make up its mind!

Have you tried using a walking stick? They just seem so much more convenient. And they have different tips that can be used on them. I always know that the difference in a good haircut and a poor one is about 10 days! hahahaha Not that that ever helps my looks!!! Be well and enjoy, what is it called again a Kindle or something or other?!???…dan
