Starting the day

Yesterday, I got some of the papers from Italian I and II that I no longer need  into the recycling bag. I also cleaned off two shelves in the work room. I sorted out my cds and put them all in my zip up folder. A few days ago, I saw that someone on Freecycle was asking for empty CD jewel cases so I posted the 24 I had and within minutes has three people requesting them! I think that is very odd. Fred got all the shoes sorted out and the ones he wants to keep will go back in the closet and the non-keepers will be posted on  Freecycle.

Another thing I got done while I was lounging on the bed watching television last night was to add some more of my music to ITunes on my Macbook and then update my IPod. And at this point I want to say the Music Shop on ITunes is evil–evil I tell you!  I went to look for Nelly McKay and found a whole lot of other music I can’t live without!

I am still happy that I have nothing that I need to do. When I wake in the morning, I usually get my brain in gear by planning out how I am going to get done whatever needs to get done. And this morning, I again got the happy feeling because there is nothing I have to do. Actually, I think I will watch "Serenity" again. I found it on one of the shelves I was tidying yesterday. I knew it wasn’t with my other movies but I thought it was on the front porch in one of the boxes that are still there. not unpacked! I am waiting until it gets a little warmer before I tackle that area! I also have "Ciao, Professore" from Netflix. La prof told me I would love it.

The man next door has a huge yard and he pays a service to come in and cut his grass. The grasscutter has a stand-up riding mower which actually looks like fun to drive! But it is extremely noisy  and is making Izzy, the dog upstairs, bark every time the grass cutter comes close to the edge of this property. Izzy is a German Shepherd and barks a lot. She is friendly but she is no Malcom!

I have an appointment to see the ortopedic surgeon on Thursday and the card says 1:40. However, from somewhere I got the idea it was 10 am. I should probably call the scheduling service and check that. The really annoying thing is that on the card it says "Please call us if you cannot make this appointment’ and then there is no phone  number.

So, what else is to be done? Well, I could go back out to the plant nursery to get more potting soil for the hanging baskets. And I could continue with the tidying up of shelves and the recycling of paper. And, of course, there is always housework.

Ok, on with the day!

I love a day when there is nothing I HAVE to do.

Even when you’re not busy, you are busy!@ Have a great day.

Yes, there is always housework, which is not nearly as much fun as all of the other things you’ve mentioned. How odd about the CD jewel cases. Have they become a collector’s item? 🙂

I much prefer days when I have nothing I “have” to do. Today I “have” to bake pies, because I sat the rhubarb out on the table and Joey saw it!!!! :oO !! hugs, Weesprite

I need a day with nothing to do. Sounds like a pamper day will be in my future.

Merlin is the same way as Izzy is. He’s a very vocal dog… not out of meanness (which I’m assuming is the same with Izzy), but just out of “I’m a German Shepherd, I must bark at all noises suspicious!” It is obnoxious… but part of the deal in having a Shepherd.

ryn: Merlin is the same way. He’s not usually a sustained barker (unless there is sustained noise that he doesn’t appreciate), but he does let people know that he’s there. He also howls at sirens (it’s unfathomably cute). GSD’s are known to be a pretty vocal breed. Barking is their way of being “big brave dogs” and they let everyone know they’re there 🙂

I love serenity.

Sounds like you got a lot done yesterday! I love days when I actually have nothing to do. It seems like I can get more accomplished on those days. Hugs, M

People use cd jewel cases as photo frames a lot. You can use the sticky velcro..attach it to the wall and case. I’ve seen them used as a collage and people change the order and what not. I’ll see if I can find the link…

It’s always fun to have nothing urgent that needs doing.
