So, Where Has the Day Gone?

Fred took me to the art museum this afternoon and dropped me off there for an hour or so. I have not definitely decided which picture I will analyze for my paper but I have a couple of possibles. I plan on going back tomorrow and make a final decision. I was a bit concerned about going to the museum partly because we were told by the instructor that the University of Vermont slap you with huge parking fines if you park in the wrong place but the parking lot for the museum although small was not full. Of course, that wasn’t a problem since Fred’s Taxi Service took me out there and brought me home again! It will not be a problem tomorrow either since parking is free at the weekends. I will take myself out to the museum tomorrow.

The other problem I was a tiny bit concerned about was that I was expecting to have to pay to get in. We were told that we would get in free with our student ID but I have no student ID since I am a non-traditional student. But the woman at the desk kindly took my word for it and I even got a 10% discount when I bought something at the gift shop! And, in case there is a different person tomorrow, I have dug out my sheet with my student ID number on it.This evening I will organize my folder with the list of information I need to get for the picture I choose and then I will have most of the information  I need to write my paper.

List: {Mostly for tomorrow}.

  • Make gingerbread {I did this this morning before I went out}
  • Start my self portrait.
  • Organize my folder so I can write down all the information I need tomorrow for my paper {I can do this while watching Sar Gate: SG1 reruns tonight}
  • Go for a walk first thing in the morning.{I did not walk today mostly because it was raining but, as I tell Fred, I am not made of sugar…}
  • Go back to the museum

Until later…

You may not be made of sugar, but you’re just as sweet. 😉

Thank goodness for free parking on Saturday. Our museum has it on Sunday.

On your next trip to the museum, or online, I think you should investigate the work of Egon Schiele. Extraordinary stuff. Some of it can be very uncomfortable, the line quality is out of this world.

I’ll be interested in hearing what artwork you choose for your paper. I loved my Art History class, but the prof did not love me, and he gave my end-of-term paper a C! I’d analyzed a painting by Titian…VERY WELL, I thought! I ripped my paper in half and chunked it into his trashcan on my way out the door. Here’s wishing you a lovely weekend! hugs, Weesprite

I am curious about your self portrait? Will this be a painting? It sounds very interesting! No, you are not sugar but rain is hard to get going in. I sure don’t blame you for not walking!! Love, Anna

You are smart, kind, and you cook, (still!) and you love. And you have made a major lifestyle change. You are a role model, whether you like it or not. That’s why we read you. Thanks for your notes to me. I am very honored. You are one of the pillars of OD.
