So Far Today…
- I got a lot of questions about the Kindle Fire and I will be reporting on it later probably in bits and pieces—errr, my report, not the Fire! {Although I read a review where the reviewer bought two– one to use and one to take apart!}
- Right now I am waiting for clothes to dry. They are mostly Fred’s although I did toss in a few bits and pieces of mine to make up a full load. Then I will fold his up and put them in a plastic bag to take with me when I go to visit him.
- I actually have some dictated stuff from Fred which I will put into his diary when I am writing in my clever disguise as Patrisha-as-Fred! I told him I would do it last night but I was too down-in-the-dumps to do anything much. Anyway, when I do it, I will put in a link from here to his diary.
- Apropos of my previous entry, I have decided I am really going to work harder at living in the moment rather than looking back to the past. It does no good to do that. I need to concentrate on what is happening right now and what is good about it. And, as I used to tell my younger son, there is ALWAYS something good you can find if you look for it.
- And you are all right. I DO need to take care of myself, not only physically but mentally also.
- So, three things that are good today. {1} I am wearing a black and white fleece vest that is warm AND becoming! {2} I scrambled two eggs and had them with coffee and toast and Marmite for breakfast. {3} I am still appreciating the fact that all I have to do to wash and dry clothes is to go down to the basement rather than get into my car and go somewhere to wash and dry Fred’s clothes.
i used to hate to go someplace and do laundry. though, i do have to bring my laundry over to angela’s to do it. my dryer doesn’t work anymore. you seem to be feeling some better today. i think the kindle fire has too many things on it that i wouldn’t be using. all i use my nook for is reading books. take care,

I know I’ve talked about this in my diary, but I highly recommend the blog http://1000awesomethings.com/ for finding one good thing to be positive about every day. It has been a spirit lifter for me since I discovered it. He’s down to the last 100 things now, though, so I don’t know what he will do when he’s done. Because of it, he’s written three books, that I believe you can get on your Kindle:The Book of Awesome, The Book of Even More Awesome, and The Book of (Holiday) Awesome. I bought the first one to give for Christmas, but I might keep it. It is just SO joyful and uplifting, and sometimes funny. It’s a great mood-lifter.

I like your three good things for today. I got a Kindle Fire and am still in the learning process. I look forward to your review. Staying where our feet are is always a good thing. When I traipse off into yesterday or tomorrow, I’m rarely in a good place. Hugs.

I was thinking of you this morning. I think that you are quite impressive in what you do do. Remember your trip to Italy? Your art work. The fact that you know much more about the Kindle Fire than I do…well, I didn’t even know it existed. 😉 You are a great lady Patrisha, even if it’s in different ways today than you were yesteryear. Glad you are feeling a bit better today. Best regards to Fred!
