Snow with Pictures

Here is our back yard after two days of snow.

Here is a close-up of the new bird feeder. Look at that huge heap of snow on the top! It has taken a couple of days and a lot of snow, but today I saw a couple of birds sheltering from the snow  in the new feeder and stuffing their little faces while they did so!

In other news, I am getting very "antsy" since I have been in the house for two days without a walk.
The other thing I tried today was to mix up a batch of powdered milk with water and see how it will be turned into yogurt. It is still in the machine "cooking." I will let you know how it turns out tomorrow, {I know you can hardly wait! }

til later….

Oh wow! Beautiful.

It takes weather like that to bring out the birds. Our feeders are lasting 2 weeks between refills, there being so much natural food still available for the birds.

I’m enjoying my (so far) snow-free winter. But it flat got COLD here today!!

We just had some very light flurries with no accumulation, if you don’t count the few flakes that gathered on windshields. It looks very beautiful where you are, but you may not think so while experiencing it.

Ok. I admit that it’s pretty to LOOK at from here. But I have NO desire to do anymore than that!!! Can’t wait to hear how your yougart comes out! Love you great big bunches!!!! ~M

That will be interesting to see if powdered milk reacts the same way a regular milk. Or if it tastes decent. Or do you mean that you mixed it with regular milk?

I’m jealous. I want some snow.

You have more snow than we do… what a nice backyard you have…large 😉

Snow is so pretty!!! I want to build a snowman before I die…

That snow and gray in the sky remind me so much of my life back in western New York State. Stay warm!!!

Better you than me Patricia!! It is lovely.

Hey, that looks like our backyard!!! 🙂

Our back yard looked like that a couple of days ago. I love watching the birds and thought they would come eat after all the snow. But haven’t seen any yet. It is kind of pretty now that all the brown is covered up.

thanks for your note Patricia. I have done that too – I keep the pens in my cupboard. But it doesn’t change the behaviour. The same kids never have pens. Apparently I should keep them in detention to change the behaviour. I will have to try it but I see it creating more work for me and not really having an effect. Perhaps it will. I will try.

lovely pics of snow. I have decided that I would like it to snow here very heavily so that we don’t have to go to school. But that probably isn’t a very good idea really.

oh, the laptops have been bought by the parents in a monthly payment scheme. This is why the parents and the direction are now putting pressure on the teachers to use the laptops in lessons.

Up north has a little snow but not much compared to what you and others have been having. The pics look great, we just have a little ice around here, nothing too bad. It’s really hard for me to think of my son being that old already, but the next son will be 38 in march, and daughter will be 23 in april. My grandson will be home tomorrow night for awhile since his mom is not feeling well and my son has been taking care of the boys himself and working. Hope you are staying warm, I’ll be back out with the baby when he gets back here tomorrow night, well, won’t be out till about friday, supposed to be in the mid 40’s then. Take care,

We’ve received quite a bit of snow too.

Did you get the yogurt cheese maker? Good for you for feeding the birds! RYN: Coming from you, that means a lot.

I know several people who make their own yogurt & it’s yummy. So the traveling book, did you start it & then send it on or where did it start? I already know what my topic will be, I’m just not sure of the medium I’ll use. I hope you managae to get out for a walk soon.

RYN: Thanks, that means a lot to me.
