Small Update
- I have no fruit left in the refrigerator. The last of it went in the juicer this morning. So, a trip to the grocery store tomorrow morning.
- In the next two weeks not only do I have no doctor appointments but I have nothing scheduled at all. It always amused me that Fred would rejoice in an unstructured day but I am getting to be that way too.
- Jake got Netflix working with the Roku and I have been rewatching "Red Dwarf’ and laughing hysterically! I am also watching the "House of Cards" which is pretty good.
- I am still doing daily leg exercises. It is not easy doing them with only myself as a cheerleader but "If not me, then who?"
- Some time in this coming week, I intend to drive to the local library and get a library card. It is not that I actually NEED more books to read, you understand. It is that I don’t feel as if I really belong in a community until I have a library card! I remember as a child spending as much time in a library as I could and trying to read a whole book every time I went as well as taking some home with me…
“That which we persist in doing becomes easier. It is not that the task itself has become easier, but that our ability to perform it has improved.” — Ralph Waldo Emerson
If not me, then who? If not now, then when?
I do not like an unstructured day. I use to but now it makes me crazy. I get so restless, so bored. I don’t know what to do with myself. I usually fall asleep so it affects my nights. I am going to register for some courses to get me out of the house.

You can do it! You can do it! Rah! Rah! Rah! (That’s your cheerleader for the day) I think Red Dwarf is amusing, but I never laughed hysterically at it. I wonder if it’s a British humour thing. I do love the British comedies. Right now, “Yes, Minister/Yes, Prime Minister” is on, and I do get a kick out of that one, especially when he gets the best of Sir Humphrey.

Thanks so much for your kind note on my Daggy’s passing. It means a lot. Have been on the road and a stranger here for too long. Enjoy your unstructured day!!!!

I have always loved libraries and I have a stack of old library cards. The problem is that I have to limit my time there. It’s like being in a grocery store…the longer you stay, the more you carry out!

I am trying to structure my days as I am not in as much therapy any more. J has also started his new shift, so I am trying to synchronize myself with him as well. It’s not as easy as I thought it would be! And I agree with you about libraries.

I have no speculation on how human beings can survive without books. I think it was Julia Child who said a civilization cannot maintain without onions. I have been known to make a household move with the first choice to be the library over cable or phone. Hugs to you,
