Short Update

I went for physical therapy in the warm pool this morning. This week my usual physical therapist is in Arizona for a week so instead of Nancy, I had Natalie. She is much younger than Nancy but just as good. I like physical therapists who watch what I am doing and correct me. On Wednesday I shared the pool and the therapist with a white-haired lady named Mary. While we were walking up and down the pool together, {"Straight backs! Tuck your tail in!}. she told me she was 66. I laughed and said she was a mere baby. "So, how old are you?" she asked me. I told her and she said I didn’t look anywhere near that old!  Anyway, she wasn’t here today so I had Natalie’s complete attention and the pool all to myself. Good physical therapists make me work hard. Last week, I got back from the therapy and slept for two hours on both days. This week, I have been trying not to even think about naps because they really do spoil my night’s sleep and I have done quite well at avoiding the bed!

I have been trying to find someone to come in and clean a bit for me. I posted a message in the local "Front Porch", an email letter for the area I live in, and got a couple of answers . One of them actually lives next door! He is going to come in tomorrow morning to do the living room, dining room and kitchen floors because we have company coming this weekend. I can do the tidying up and dusting pretty well, but the floors are beyond me. He won’t have to do the bathroom because I did that yesterday. Anyway, once this week end is over, I want to arrange for Roberto to do ALL the floors really well and then perhaps come in every two weeks to keep it all up. Anyway, that is all in the air at the moment but I am glad to be getting the part of the house that will be in "public" cleaned up a bit.

My fondest wish is to one day have someone clean for me! I don’t care who it is….it “could” be Joe, but I doubt it! :o) !! hugs, Nicky

Nice!! 🙂

Therapy in a warm pool sounds nice, even if it is work! How awesome that one of the people coming to help you clean is your neighbor! Very convenient! Hugs,M

that is awesome that you found someone to come and do this for you. I’ve considered doing something like that too to help out, but I’d clean before this person came! lol

I’m glad that you found someone so quickly and one that is close by, so if you need them on short notice, they’d be handy anyway! Have a wonderful weekend!

If I could get someone else to do the cleaning, I’d think I’d died and gone to heaven! That sounds like an outstanding idea. And you don’t seem your age to me, either. You’re a couple of years younger than my mom, but she’s DECADES older than you.

Ok, I’m jealous! I’d LOVE a cleaning lady. But then I get all paranoid about someone being in my house when I’m not here….and I think about the $$$….*sigh* Looks like I’m IT for now. Glad you found someone though. It should make life ever so much easier!!!! Loves to you!!!!! ~M

I’m glad you could find someone to come clean for you! (Huggles)

That’s amazing that he lives next door – it’s one way to meet the neighbours! 😉

I need to clean here… wads of cat hair are everywhere. It is too hot for outside work so I may do that this afternoon… Hope you enjoyed “Milk”. It was a fantastic movie… Sean Penn deserved the Oscar he got for that role.

Being in a pool today sounds really really nice.

How grand that you found someone to clean for you. I’ll be interested in reading more about that experience if you share info.-Roberto’s methods, how long he spends on jobs, how much he charges. I guess you can tell by this that I have given a lot of thought to getting some kind of cleaning service. Anyway, good for you.
