Short Entry
I am feeling very uncomfortable intestines-wise today and was woken an hour earlier than I usually get up because I needed to get to the bathroom! I have the feeling that I shouldn’t stray far from a bathroom today but I am going to do my best to ignore this because I have a list and I was really looking forward to going to Walmart this morning!
I read all afternoon and most of the evening yesterday and I have almost finished Dick Francis’s newest book. It is as comfortably readable as usual. However, I am alsmost at the end and the hero has not got beaten up as yet. Hmmm, maybe he won’t because so far his girlfried has been shot! I don’t know if my readers who are Dick Francis fans have noticed but his books are always written in the first person, always have horses in them somewhere {understandable because Francis was a jockey} and in the last few chapters the hero always gets beaten up from which beating he goes on to triumphantly survive!
Ooops! I am having really painful intestinal cramps so off to the bathroom… {I have to clean it, anyway!}
Until later….
I haven’t read that author, but I’ve noticed that other authors fall into a “pattern.” I don’t read Mary Higgins Clark because all of her books are the same; just the characters change. If you’ve read one, you’ve read ’em all.

I burn out with certian authors because of patterns like that. I love the first 3 Dean Koontz books I read, until I realized they were all the same; and the same thing with Tom Robbins. I hope you are feeling better and can get done what you want to today.

Hope you are feeling ok. You can go to Walmart. They usually have bathrooms you can use in a pinch.

Well the advice I’ve been reading about writing is that you are better off “writing what you know” so if you know horses, then write about horses. If you know sailboats then write about sailing, and so on. It’s more authentic that way.

Sorry about you not feeling well. I can associate with your problems since I have Crohns disease. I am often afraid to leave the house because of it. Hope you are feeling better soon.

Okay, as soon as I’m finished with Ruth Rendell, I will start on Dick Francis. I’m sorry you’re not feeling well. By the way, which version of PaintShop Pro do you like best? I found nothing new in the trial version of #11, or in #10 (which mysteriously self-installed on my computer)either. I use #8 because it loads so fast and is so easy to use. Am I missing something?

It is very good to have some books on hand for days like that one….. it helps to pass the time when one can’t do much else! hugs, Weesprite

Don’t know what you had, but I had it, too, from last Thursday till… well… so far today I’ve been fine. Since I’m reading your stuff backwards, I already know you’re better.
