Sciatica! Boo! Hiss!

I HATE this sciatica. I just get to feeling it is all over when, bang! it is back again. I got up this morning feeling fantastic. No pain and I could walk around the apartment without the cane. Yet, this afternoon I am back putting a foot to the floor with a pain running down the outside of my leg. I will say the "burning" sensation in my right buttock has pretty well gone but the "burning" pain across the top of my foot is still there. I only have one pair of shoes I can wear now and I have to leave the right one undone. I am doing exercises that purport to relieve the pain and they do seem to be working. A bit.

Since Jake has mentioned it on Facebook, I feel I can now mention that while he was gone on a work-related trip, someone broke into his house and a lot of his stuff was stolen. He tell me he does have insurance but he can never replace some of the stuff that has disappeared which includes his now-dead grandfather’s shot gun. Fortunately his two cats are fine and they didn’t get out…

I am still waiting to have a colonoscopy on October 15th. I am tired of waiting. I want to know what is wrong and can it be fixed. I have a prescription for some oily, overly-sweet medication which keeps my bowels active so, so far, there don’t seem to be any blockage problems to send me back to the emergency room.

One day, I promise you, I will write about something more than my body falling apart. I still write angry stuff but that is not here and is private. I try not to dwell on it but writing is how I deal with things… Tomorrow I must pay my rent and then go to the drugstore for stuff I need to take before the colonoscopy. Fun times ahead!
