Reminders for Tomorrow

Reminders for tomorrow:

  • make yogurt {we are out!}
  • put the sheets I took off the bed today into the laundry
  • finish homework
  • load up clever machine and let it make a loaf

The weather today has been very nice. There is a feeling of spring in the air although it has still been chilly. The birds are getting noisier and noisier. I put out some crumbs on the balcony rail this morning and 15 minutes later when I went back, they were all gone.

QUOTATIONS FOR THIS MONTH: "There is nothing good or bad but thinking makes it so."

Hamlet 2.2.255-256

“Every life form seems to strive to its maximum except human beings. How tall will a tree grow? As tall as it possibly can. Human beings, on the other hand, have been given the dignity of choice. You can choose to be all or you can choose to be less. Why not stretch up to the full measure of the challenge and see what all you can do?” Jim Rohn (motivational speaker/philosopher)

Yep, Spring is in the air!

I had some yogurt at school last week that was made with a culture that was brought from Japan by one of the grad students. It was good, not too tangy, even though it had no sweetner in it.

I forgot to say that this particular yogurt culture works at room temperature, so no special machine is needed.

It is *very* springy here. Today it was in the mid 60s. I know, that’s more like summer for VT. But for here it’s spring! I want to buy a bird feeder. And a hummingbird feeder. I’d love to have birds in the yard.

I don’t have homework! Neener, neener! LOL! Well, that will be short-lived.

Those birds are ravenous!

I noticed today that the color of the grass here is turning greener. 🙂

hee hee. Putting the crumbs out makes me think of when I scattered some stale bread crumbs earlier in the winter. Guess who ate them? My dogs!! The poor birds never stood a chance. Every time I took Levi and Chloe out to do their thing they headed straight for the breadcrumbs. L Have a good Monday. Hugs, M

I’m sad summer is over for us.

I love homemade yogurt. I need to visit my mum! The summer will be here soon. Yeah! Homemade yogurt, bread,pies…..

I’ve been much more aware of the birds singing in the early mornings recently – they seems to be getting earlier & earlier. I’m like Fred – a bit of a night owl & sometimes when I’m going to bed they’re starting up which is slightly irritating but makes me happy too because it means spring is a-coming!

March 12, 2007

That reminds me – I meant to ask you – does the fact that you & Fred have different nocturnal habits so to speak ever get in the way? Boyd & I are completely different too & sometimes I feel bad about waking him up when I come to bed when he’s already been asleep for about 3 hours but he seems to get back to sleep quickly thankfully. I can’t sleep without reading though & some nights I’m sure the light disturbs him for a while so I feel guilty.
