Quick Morning Entry

I got up this morning with the intent of studying, but {I may be tempting fate with this remark}. I really think I don’t need to. I decided I need a{nother } goof-off morning ! I will write out the possessive adjectives and pronouns when I get to school since I am always the first one there and look over my list of relationship words but I am pretty sure I have basically got them. Oh well, time will tell!

This afternoon I have an appointment with the dermatologist. I am feeling a bit of a fraud actually because the thing I was worried about seems to have gone away all by itself but, as Fred reminded me, it has been a while since my back was checked and that is one part of my anatomy I cannot see for myself so I am glad to be getting a knowledgeable eye cast over that part of me. I get out of school at 11:30 and the appointment is not until 2:30 so I won’t have to rush around.

I am still at a higher energy level today {as I was yesterday} than I have been lately. I like this feeling. if the class doesn’t knock me out, I may well start decorating for Christmas this afternoon. It is odd about the class. Here I am sitting in a chair for two hours and very often it wipes me out! Using my brain seems to tire my body!

Ok, now I am off to pack my bag for class and then out of the door….

Until later….

Intellectual work is still work — it’s like when your body is really, really tired, it’s hard to think very clearly. They are related. Oh, the hip bone’s connected to the leg bone, the leg bone’s connected… you get the idea!

When I am away at college, I know that I get much more tired than I did when I was working full-time. I do think mental activity is definitely as tiring as physical.

I can so relate to the brain drain. I feel it too!

Sitting there in a chair diminishes circulation of blood and lymph and your body just slows down and thinks you are going to sleep, so you have less energy. Park futher away from the building so that you are forced to do some walking afterward. That might help. But I’m glad you’re feeling more energetic!

brain work will tire you out so fast. i’d rather do physical stuff than mental stuff for long periods of time. my husband has a complete body check once a year. he doesn’t want the spots to get as bad as they were earlier this year. take care,
