PT Today
This morning I drove down to the local Y to go to physical therapy. I know that sounds a bit weird but the local hospital has a small heated pool for aqua therapy and to get to it, one has to walk through the Y with all those mad people exercising. Anyway, I noticed a big group of people setting off on a run around the block and a smaller group doing push-ups on the edge of the curb. I thought, "What IS going on here?" and when I tried to get through the door I heard an annoyingly loud alarm and someone told me it was a fire alarm and the Y had been cleared out. So, I leaned my butt up against the bicycle rack and watched all the funny people exercising. Then there came a car from the fire department and a man walked into the building. This was rapidly followed by two firetrucks and lots of firefighters who also went into the building. Eventually the firefighters and the truck left and we were all allowed back in! I have no idea what happened but apparently we were not in danger.
Nancy, the physical therapist, worked me really hard today. Last week I shared the pool with one other person who was also directed by Nancy and a man who had one of the other physical thereapists. I thought I worked hard last week but she had me alone in the pool, she really paid close attention to what I was doing. When I got home, I had some lunch and then took a two-hour nap.

“all those mad people exercising.” I guess that makes me mad as a hatter. LOL. But I’m the most fit hatter of them all.

I love your comment about mad people exercising. How true! And sadly, I tend to get tired just watching them…

Not being an exerciser myself, if I’d been there I would’ve leaned my butt up against the bicycle rack and watched the funny people with you! :o) !! hugs, Nicky

I haven’t gone to the gym in ages… Yes, I guess we all look silly. I am looking fat and flabby lately; I think silly is better!

I have such a poor body image I would NEVER go into a public pool. Unless I was a bystander, of course 🙂 Isn’t that dumb? I know! But the mere thought of a swimsuit in public makes me cringe….LOL!
