Patricia’s Alphabet

This was borrowed from Tall Guy:

A is for apples. Fred buys me extra-crisp apples and I have at least one a day. I bought him an apple corer/slicer and  I use it much more than he does.

B is for blah which is how I am feeling today. Not ill, not well, just blah…

C is, of course, for chocolate. In fact I can even take this a step further and say

D is for dark chocolate which is the best kind. I like it frozen…

E is for enemies of which I have none. So, moving  on to

F which is, of course, for Fred without whom my life would be very different and much less enjoyable.

G is for goals. I have two for this year. One I am doing well with; the other I am not.

H is for my very short razor-cut hair. I am enjoying this haircut a lot. It is short and curly!

I is for itching which is what I do when mosquitoes bite.

J is for a certain son whose name begins with J and who has password-protected his blog so that suddenly, I can’t read it! I don’t know whether to laugh or be angry!  I think I will laugh…

K is for Kathleen, my mother’s name. I used to love how her Irish sisters said it as CAT-leen

L is for Leonard Cohen who does not have a good singing voice but writes wonderful songs…

M is for Mike and Melanie and Malcolm–the family downstairs who have just added a G for Greta to the mix…

N is for nothing which is basically what I have done today.

O is quite difficult. Hmmm, what begins with O that is relevant to my life…. OK! Open Diary !

P is for Patricia which means noble woman. I like that.

Q is very cleverly combined with a U in Bookworm DeLuxe which makes using it quite easy.

R is my sister Robbie whom I will be seeing in less than two weeks

S is sleep. I woke at four rhis morning and although I didn’t get up until 5 and I also took a one-hour nap, I am still sleepy.

T is two walks I have taken today. Neither of them was what could be considered a power walk. In fact the second one was definitely a stroll.

U is the letter I dislike the most in Bookworm Deluxe.

V is for vampires whom I dislike reading about. In fact, I stopped reading Barbara Hambley when she moved into the vampire genre even though she is still a good writer.

W is for water. I drink a lot of water. I have only one kidney and I like to keep it active…

X is traditionally for X-Rays. Do you know that if lung cancer is found on an ex-ray it is usually very advanced? No, I didn’t know that until my sister {who has lung cancer} told me.

Y is You! Do your own list.

Z is for zed which is what the English call this letter. It is helpful in Bookworm to know this word because it usually counts higher than zee {always assuming that there are no bonus tiles in either of them,. of course.}

Well, my parents don’t even know that I have an online diary – and they’re never going to either. 🙂 So yes, you’re right to laugh.

I’ve really started something. O is for Open Diary. You forgot that.

I will do that. And pretty cool!

Well, this is weird. How come I can see this entry from my MM diary, but not my other one? Now I’m TOTALLY confused….

July 3, 2005

Ooh, this is fun.

I like this one and will have to do it, I think. hmmmm. What is your sister’s real name? Roberta? Bookworm Deluxe? A game on the net? I hope. I am getting very bored. r

I like your list. Huh. I didn’t know that was what a zed was. Learn something new every day.

I like the alphabet. I sometimes need structure to help me get my thoughts together. I’ll use this one sometime in the future. Another aid I bought to help me be introspective is a book called “List Yourself”. It prompts you with various questions to answer about yourself such as “List the places you have visited that have altered your view of the world”.
