OD Lives! *

  • Good heavens! OD is alive! I am debating finding a new place to write. Actually, I DO have a diary {same name–patrisha} at Prose Box but I am not exactly enamored of that site.
  • I am trying to complete one chore a day. Today it is the kitchen. I have not been doing clean up consistently although I AM actually sticking to cooking for myself at least twice a week. This means cooking from scratch. Anyway, to go back to my chore a day, I have cleaned the kitchen floor–swept and mopped– and wiped over the stove. I still have the tidy up and put away bit to do. Which reminds me. My kitchen is very small. I have a plastic container for crackers. It is missing. it will be interesting to see where it turns up! The other day when Jake was bringing me groceries he also brought me some money. I put that money "somewhere." Today I found it on the floor beside my bed which is, I do have to assure you, not the usual place I put money! So, I wonder where the crackers are?
  • After I have finished here, I am going to lie on the bed and read. "Lie on the bed and read" is sometimes a euphemism for "take a nap" but since I slept quite well last night, for a whole 6 hours I will probably just read.

An emotion is only an emotion.

It’s just a small part of your whole being.

You are much more than your emotion.

An emotion comes, stays for a while, and goes away, just like a storm.

If you’re aware of that, you won’t be afraid of your emotions.

That’s funny, lie on the bed and read is my nap time, too. Yes, that title is a Leonard Cohen line. Ms. Penny gives him credit in a special comment page. As a Cohen fan you’ll like it.
