No Snow Today!

Well, it has, finally, stopped snowing. I looked out this morning and our landlord has done a really good job of cleaning it out. There is ice on our porch but he did put salt on it. {I know this because he left the empty bag on the porch! } He has even cleared a path out to the trash cans and taken out the bag of trash I dumped on the porch! Well, I wasn’t going to walk out to the cans in snow up to my knees, but I did take out the bag I had filled this morning…

I went out three times to clean the snow off the cars yesterday and I am so glad I did because there is just a dusting on them now. As soon as the frozen-food delivery man arrives, I will go out and clean the snow off the cars. Then, probably early afternoon, we will go grocery shopping together. We are out of pretty well everything. In fact, this morning we were out of sugar for Fred’s coffee but, luckily there was a little brown sugar left and, if push came to shove, we also have honey. {I don’t take sugar in my tea or coffee. Years ago, I gave it up for Lent and discovered I actually liked it better that way!}

The refrigerator is almost empty as is the freezer section of it. We have a really BIG order for Art, the frozen-food man when he comes this morning. Fred orders online and then sends me a copy by email since I am the one who is up at that time and thus the one who writes the check.

Oh, and I have decided I am not going to go in to the Italian class this afternoon. I will write a note to la professoressa and work on the homework assignment and the classwork before next Tuesday. We need to buy a lot of stuff at the grocery store and it will need a two-person attack! Normally, Fred goes to buy  a bit at a time because he actually enjoys buying groceries!  {I hate it so that works out well!} He uses his wheeled walker which is good because he can sit down when his legs bother him. But although he very ingeniously hangs bags all over the walker, he is limited as how much he can get. This isn’t usually a problem since he can go a couple of times a week. But then there are times like today when we HAVE to have a lot of stuff and then we both go.

Ok, short break here to pay the frozen-food man. Fred is putting it all away and then I will go out and clean snow off the car and move mine into the street so that Fred can get his out..
