Moving Bullets!

  • I have decided to stop stressing about this move.
  • {Ok, you don’t need to tell me this is the 170millionth time I have decided this}
  • It is a smidgin cooler. Not a big smidgin… Hmmm, how big IS a smidgin, anyway?
  • Since I am going up and down stairs to the basement for the laundry anyway, I have started to carry things that are normally stacked in the downstairs hall. So far, I have moved snowshoes. I put a big "Fred and Patricia " sign on the shelf I am using so that Mike’s movers don’t accidentally take our stuff, too.
  • I was originally going to carry down the boxes I brought with me when I moved here and which I haven’t opened for seven years!   But since I have decided to go through them once we are moved and either Freecycle the contents or throw them away, I don’t want them downstairs only to have to have them brought upstairs again. So, they are staying where they are to be moved eventually onto the porch.
  • The next thing i am going to take downstairs are Fred’s skis.
  • It is the book club meeting tonight at the library at 7 pm. This means I am going to be FORCED to take a walk which is a Good Thing.
  • We are supposed to be getting a cold front coming down from Canada. All I can say is that it is taking its own sweet time…
  • I am not going to put this in the new chapter I have for the move until the DM fixes the problem of the new chapters not being able to be edited and resaved.

Until later….

a little at a time and it will all get done! fred used to ski? i’ve never been on a pair of skis in my life. we’re waiting on that cold front, too. the sooner it gets past you, the sooner it gets down here. we are having some nice breezes, though i can’t tell if they are ocean breezes or not. take care,

I have to say that if you haven’t so much as looked in the boxes in seven years, you REALLY don’t need the stuff any more 🙂 (reminds me of when we cleaned out grandma’s house after she passed away – she had some big packing boxes stacked in the bedroom and they’d been there for over a decade… when we opened them they had dirty laundry and junk like that in them! Ugh!!! She’d brought them from

their old house and never even opened them… 😛 (huggles)

I hate moving but….just think how glad you will be when it’s all over!

Or you can just go into diary maintenance later and move everything into chapters after you’re sure you aren’t going to edit them anymore. Hope a break in the weather gets there soon!

It is supposed to “ONLY” be 89 degrees here tomorrow (as opposed to 99, like it is today)… so it’ll be merely HOT instead of HAWT. I do hope it is even less hot, up in Vermont for you and Fred! hugs, Weesprite

I thought you were going to be talking about guns when I saw the title. LOL! I’m silly.

I found you on the front page. I would like to add you to my favorites if that’s ok. I think you are an amazing woman! 😀

With all that climbing stairs and moving boxes I should think that you woul need a rest from a walk! 🙂 You are getting things done, which is more than I can say for myself

Hot here is a way of life. I’m almost accustomed to the under layer of my hair being WET. Hope you get nice cool temps soon. Mine won’t happen till winter, and I’m not even sure they HAVE that here… Love you! ~M

it has cooled down a smidgen here too. A wee smidgen! Take care and just do that moving stuff slowly. I’m very afraid of when the time comes for me to move, I think I’m just going to have to put blinders on and start throwing. 🙂

I live five miles away from tae and its not one smidgen cooler here. I think I’m moving out to her house. heheheh take care of you

i agree. moving is the pits! wish that cold front would make it to my neck of the woods, too.

Are the upopened-for-seven-years-boxes labeled as to even give you a clue? I finally unpacked all my boxes from New Orleans – did a huge purge – and now have just one lil Banker’s box labeled “Liz’s Stuff’ and the boxes with my wrtiting. If I haven’t opened the Banker’s box within the next year, it will just go to goodwill. I hope it cools a bit for you! Vista Way
