Mostly Health
I am not sure if I mentioned that when I went to the doctor {well, physician’s assistant actually} that she suggested physical therapy for this shoulder/arm pain. I am not sure if it will actually help, but I said yes and told her that I really DID need PT for my leg. Now, some of you, I know are frowning and thinking, "Wait a minute, hasn’t she done that already?" Well, the truth is that I put the paperwork in my car, and there it remained! And my reason for the long delay was because of winters in Vermont!
In Vermont in the winter, it snows. A lot. Our lease specifies that among other things, the landlord is responsible for snow clearing. And he does clear it—eventually. It is, however, cleared to his schedule and not to mine. And when there is a heavy snow fall, getting out to the road can sometimes be an iffy thing so I didn’t want to set any appointments up until the snow was gone. Anyway, I have an appointment for 9 am on Monday. Before that, I need to go to the address and suss out the parking facilities…
The pain from this muscle spasm is very slowly going away. Right now, the muscle pain near the right scapular is almost completely gone but the pain in the arm {the "bat wing" muscle } is still alive and kicking. It is a type of pain I don’t remember having before. It seems to ebb away and then flow back with "burning " pain. Anyway, today I am going to try doing without the codeine. That stuff makes me very lethargic. I will try and see what a couple of acetaminophen do to help. Although lying on the bed all day with the Kindle is enjoyable, it doesn’t get things done.
Today’s Positive Self-Statement: I have set up physical therapy.
Today’s Statement of Gratitude: I am grateful that I have enough "fritter" money to be able to buy books {I downloaded two by Donna Leon to my Kindle this morning}
One thing that I will do to be kind to myself today:I will walk on the treadmill
"You are not happy because you are well. You are well because you are
happy. You are not depressed because trouble has come to you, but
trouble has come to you because you are depressed. You can change
your thoughts and feelings, and then the outer things will come to
correspond, and indeed there is no other way of working."

I hope you feel better soon. Spring weather is meant to be enjoyed.

I remember vividly having to schedule life around snow fall. I hope that the PT helps. 🙂

There are days when I dream of living somewhere with perfect weather. (hahahahha) sometimes being delusional is the only way I can get through the day. I hope that you were able to walk on the treadmill.

I don’t blame you a bit for putting off the appointments ’til the snow’s gone. Going out in the snow and on the ice can be more hazardous than missing appointments! I do hope your shoulder and arm pain is gone soon! hugs, Nicky

Hope it doesn’t snow! I’ve seen some very heavy stuff as late as May 26th!

Good for you on the PT!

I think you should ‘remind’ your landlord about the snow removal and should something happen, you hope he has good insurance on his house as medical bills will cost him. I don’t understand it. I know if we had renters, we’d be at it, especially on my own property. I hope you’ll remain safe Patrisha und Mr. Fred Otter.

It snows here a lot, too. This was a bad winter. Going out a lot isn’t fun in bad weather.

Driving and waling on snow and ice are two of my least favourite things to do. I can totally relate to your predicament. Hope it is clearing up for you now….

What are you reading on the KINDLE? Hope you are painfree.
