Morning Thoughts

I was so tired last night that I fell asleep watching television which is something I seldom do. In fact, part of my going to sleep routine is turning off the televsion… Anyway, Fred came into the bedroom and woke me up so I did my going to the bathroom-taking-my-pills-routine and went right back to sleep again.

My assignment for tomorrow is to draw a full-length figure. It can be from life or from a photograph. I was surprised to find how few full-length  photographs of people I have in my collection but eventually I found a nice one of my sister and brother-in-law. I isolated my BIL and printed it out. Last night before I fell asleep, I sketched it out. Today I will use ink to finish it.

So, for today:

  • go for a walk {right after I finish this and have breakfast}
  • work on my drawing
  • wash dishes in between working on my drawing
  • vacuum the floor in between working on my drawing
  • find other useful things to do in drawing breaks!

Other things I need to do but not today:

  • check back to the community college web site and decide what is the next art course I want to take. {Watercolor? Acrilyc? Oils? –I feel like a kid at Christmas!}
  • Check also for the date the classes start, and more importantly, the date I have to register…
  • price matting board. Jean said we can mount our drawings on posterboard but I would like to try at least one mat.
  • Get a metal ruler

Until later…now I am going to eat oatmeal and go for a walk!

You need to show us more of your artwork

Not that I have the time for it but you make me want to take an art class.

I keep saying it, but that art class sounds so fun!

ryn: oh, I love dandelions. I think them quite lovely and they are also among the most useful plants…. edible and all that good stuff. My Dad used to define “weed” as “a plant growing where a person doesn’t want it to grow.” That about sums it up! Most “weeds” end up having some kind of flower, and are just as pretty as the stuff people normally plant. hugs, Weesprite
