Morning Entry
Ok, that countdown thing at the bottom is supposed to read "until I sign up for classes! " Sheesh!
It is much cooler today so far although it seems a little muggy. This may be due to the fact that I have been for a walk down to the river and back again. I cannot do more than a stroll {still} but I did walk for 45 minutes with a few photography stops. But what pleased me was that I walked all the way up Main St –a long and steep hill–without having to stop one time! It has been a considerable time since I have been able to do this! And, if the trochanteric bursitis ever gets treated, maybe I will be able to walk up Main St. a little more briskly.
Talking of trochanteric bursitis, I thought it was time I called and found out why I wasn’t hearing about the appointment for a steroid shot. Of course, as usual the phone answerer asked me all the usual questions and when I told her I was a patient of the resident I call here Dr. EyeCandy, she told me that he had moved on! AAAAGH! He was a GREAT doctor –and not only because of his good looks! That is probably why I don’t have an appointment–I slipped through the cracks! So, she said she would have the scheduler check into this and call me back.
I have an appointment to see another resident in August. Now, you have to understand, some considerable time ago, I was asked by my primary doctor did I want to see residents and I have NO problem with them practicing on me at all. So far, I have been VERY fortunate. The one before Dr. EyeCandy was not good looking but his specialty was going to be nephrology and he paid a lot of attention to the fact that I have only one kidney! But I am going to miss Dr. EyeCandy not only because he was exceptionally good to look at but mostly because he listened and remembered what we talked about from appointment to appointment.
Today I am going to wander off down town and do a little retail therapy. I really haven’t anything in mind I want to buy –that will come later after we move– but I just want to get out of the house. Fred has his own transportation now if he wants to go anywhere and that makes me happy too!
Until later….
Hi there – I just stumbled on your diary because your post was on the front page. Sounds like you had a lovely morning. I am in Florida – so even at this time of day it can bee too muggy/hot to walk!!

July 1 the new interns come on board and the old interns become residents.

We shall mourn the loss of Dr. EyeCandy. LOL

Was randomly reading and came across your diary. I prefer having a resident, they always tend to pay more attention to detail and have quite a bit of compassion and understanding then those who are becoming burnt out in the field. Take Care. ~Brooke

I think it’s nice that you aren’t worried about seeing the residents. I’m sorry that you don’t have Dr. Eyecandy anymore!

Wow a doctor who remembers what you talked about from appointment to appointment would be great. I don’t think I have ever had one of those.

That’s the good thing about seeing the same doctor all the time…. they (with any luck) remember some of what you’ve told them before! I am glad it’s less hot there today; it is nicer here, too! Have fun shopping! hugs, Weesprite

That’s a shame about Dr. EyeCandy. I’m going to miss you talking about him. I get my swoons by osmosis, yaknow. Well, that and seeing Mike EyeCandy at the gym. LOL!

i hope you get a competent and compassionate resident. it helps if you see the same one all the time. take care,

I was thinking of doing a little retail therapy later today as well. Although I know for certain that I do need a dish drainer… I left mine in NY because I didn’t have room. I’m also considering getting a hummingbird feeder; when I was talking to my across the street neighbor, a hummingbird flew right up to hers!

I love retail therapy. So relaxing. Most times I see something and think I needit but after carrying it around the store for awhile the need disappears and I put it back feeling better for not having spent the money on something I really don’t need.

What? No more Dr. Eyecandy? Hiss! Boo! Well, maybe the new one will be even better! Retail therapy sounds wonderful! I’m holding off until I find an apartment. No telling what I’ll do then! Have fun! Love ya! ~M
