Morning

Italian Phrase of the Day: Sono affamato come cavallo. I’m as hungry as a horse.

My comment on this: No, sono affamato come tre porci piccolo, due elefanti, una giraffa e un pernice nel pero! No, I am as hungry as three little pigs, two elephants, one giraffe and a partridge in a pear tree!

Actually, that is a big ole lie {as they say down South}. I have had a banana, a cup of coffee and a slice of home-made bread with yochee and I am feeling comfortably full.

I am really enjoying working out my comments on the phase of the day. I guess you can tell that, right?

Ok, the day ahead has a good start. I have already been out and cleared three days of snow and ice off Fred’s car. I did mine yesterday so I drove it out to park on the street facing east so that the sunlight {yes! We have SUNSHINE!} would melt the little bit of frost on the windshield. I learned this trick from Fred who thinks about things like this! So, list for the day:

  • clean the snow off Fred’s car.
  • go for a massage this afternoon {Beth will be so surprised because heretofor I have always called her to cancel when we have snow}
  • read I have four new-to-me books
  • do some Italian. {I am still working on the tests for Capitolo 1 and 2.}

Which reminds me that I want to do a Google search on the three other level-one books in this series. I am learning a lot and having fun with this one so if the others are available, I am going to get them.

QUOTATION FOR THIS MONTH: If you are distressed by anything external, the pain is not due to the thing itself, but to your estimate of it; and this you have the power to revoke at any moment. — Marcus Aurelius

Until later….

I’ve been enjoying the Italian at the begining of your entries. Enjoy your day!

I am going to steal your Italian sentence and send it to my parents – they will be very impressed with me! *g*

RYN:I am overwhelmed with your kindness. It is totally and absolutely sweet of you to do something like that for me. I’ll be keeping you in my prayers. As for snow, I can so relate to living in it and with it. We have winter longer than any other season on the prairie. Plus, it snows even in the summer sometimes! Hail storms are the worst because they can happen anytime and ruin the crops for the poor farmers.

Did you get your massage today??? Hope so. I did yoga for 45 minutes and now I need a massage, lol… RYN: I didn’t watch anything – is there a show called Nature? I’ll have to check the Animal channel…or where is it? Thanks…
