More about the Move

<——————-This is a continuation of the last entry because I still cannot edit and save.

So, Fred called Mike or, perhaps we should say he TRIED to. At first the phone would not work because when I was disconnecting my art lights for packing, I had also disconnected the phone base!    I crawled around on the floor and connected it all up again, Fred called  and Mike came up. He told us that they were actually moving next week, staying locally with friends and coming back on the 30th to move us.

This was a big load off our minds because we had been thinking that they were going to move themselves out and us in all on the same weekend!

There are, Mike said, two cleared shelves in the basement where right now things can be stored! There is some stuff i can take down there although I can’t carry filled boxes down the stairs… He also told us that it would be fine to leave the drawers of the bureaus in the bedroom full of clothing because each drawer can be carried downstairs full. All I will need to do is to label them which will be no problem.

So, as I think I said in a previous entry, tomorrow I will put my art desk down flat and store a couple of filled boxes on it. Oh, and they ARE going to sell us the the big air conditioner downstairs {I don’t know about the little one} and so we won’t have the hassle of getting someone to put one in for us and they won’t have the hassle of moving it!

I feel much better.

That’s GREAT about the A/C!

That’s awesome that you’ll have a livingroom A/C. It’ll make the heat more livable. You are so much more organized than maybe you think. Mike just tosses stuff into boxes and closes them. If I hadn’t labeled things in our last move, I would’ve gone more crazy than I already am trying to sort everything out.

I so hate moving.

well GOOD!

I was wondering how they were going to accomplish getting them out and you in all on the same day. This will be a big relief because it will give you a week to clean up the new place and get some of the small stuff hauled down there. Whew!
