Monday
Today has been rather strange in the walking department. Since it is Monday, the first job was to get the laundry done and since I only had enough for two loads that didn’t take much time.
I told Fred I was going for a walk and he asked if I would mind going to the drug store on the way back and picking up some stuff he has on prescription. That is fine with me but I decide to go there and come back rather than do the walk first because I realized that there are a couple of things *I* need from there, too. So, I go up the hill, get the stuff and walk home and then set off for my walk. I am about ten minutes into it when suddenly I realize my hip is starting to hurt! Now, this is very strange. This last month I have got exactly the right amount of ibuprofen in my system that I can walk withoout pain. And then I realize that I actually didn’t take the usual 400 mg this morning because I emptied the container last night and that was one reason I went to the drug store! I am amazed that the loss of that tiny amount brought the pain back! Anyway, I came home and took the usual medication and I am pain-free again.
Fred is not well today. Every so often his blood pressure drops and he gets dizzy. He was like this today and unfortunately it was right before he was supposed to go for a routine EEG before the scheduled surgery. He called and canceled and got rescheduled for next Monday. He has to see his cardiologist on Wednesday. Mind you, I don’t know what good it will do because the general consensus of the medical brains seems to be that there is nothing wrong with his heart except the inevitable ravages of being sedentary for the last few years and the fact that he is 76 years old…
I am going to give myself a break today and not go for another walk. With the trip to the drug store and the twenty minutes around the neiborhood, I can write down 30 minutes for today. So, off to lie on the bed and read Trace by Patricia Cornwell which is turning out to be excellent! I want to take it {and the interlibrary loan} back to the library tomorrow.
Until later…
Oh, I LIKE Patricia Cornwell! Haven’t been reading as much lately as I’d like, but figure with the snows coming, I’ll get back into it. Hope Fred feels better!!!!!! Love ya! ~M

Glad the ibuprofen helps you with the pain that much.

I’m giving myself a break today also. Sometimes we need a break. Keeping Fred in my prayers. You too.

I haven’t read Patricia Cornwall. She seems popular, though. Hope Fred is ok.

You are so organized! How I wish you could come organize my stuff here!! (Why oh why can’t you live in Delaware?) Good luck to Fred with his surgery. And I am glad you remembered your pills so you could be pain-free again. It is hard to keep track of those all the time. May you have a wonderful day and a blessed Thanksgiving! Weesprite
