Meeting an OD-er

I have just got back from spending three hours with the interesting Dagnabbit of Open Diary fame! I had a lovely time. I always think I talk too much when I meet someone for the first time but she assured me that I didn’t, and since she is a person of impressive good sense, I will accept her word for it! LOL It wasn’t the first time we had met but that time I had to rush off so it didn’t really count…

We met at a coffee shop after some confusion on my part since I wasn’t sure what time we were going to meet. I got there ten minutes before she did and was enjoying my hot chocolate when she came in. After she had her coffee, we wandered up and down Church Street Market Place in and out of all the shops. She had a list of what she needed to get and I just looked at everything. We went to Brueggers Bagels for lunch and I went on an on about teaching. And, yes, Dagnabbit, you are correct, I DO miss it!

The only bad part of the whole experience is that I was having such a good time, I lost track of the time and had a $6 parking ticket when I got back to the car! And after the hospital thing with Fred is over, she is going to come to my house and I am going to teach her the basics of knitting. I am looking forward to it.

I’ve met quite a few people from OD and NEVER yet had a bad experience. I’m glad you had a good experience, too!

I’ve only met one ODer in person, and she’s a sweetie. There’s another that I met BEFORE OD, and we came here together. It’s always so fun.

Sounds great to me is that all you pay for parking fines, our are £35 pounds I even at that low rate it is annoying

That is so wonderful. I have a couple other favorites have have met and make it a yearly ritual to meet in some place nutrual for them all. I think it’s a great idea. Sounds like you had fun.
