Losing a Bit of Weight

  • Somehow I seem to have lost 4 pounds in the last couple of weeks. I am not making a big effort mainly because I am anti-diet these days, but I do seem to be walking a bit more—mostly because the parking lot of the rehab place seems always to be full and I have to park on the street and walk back! Fred commented today that I looked thinner but I thought it was probably because I was wearing a black hoodie! I had also noticed yesterday that I could see my cheekbones a bit more. I always envied my sister’s prominent cheek bones which she got from our dad. Although she got the cheekbones, fortunately she didn’t get the big Roman nose my father had–although it did turn up on her son, my nephew! Anyway, a few minutes after my shower, I got on the scales and I was down four pounds…
  • I have almost accidentally, been eating small meals about every four hours or so. I usually get to see Fred about an hour to an hour-and-a-half before lunch and while he is eating his lunch, I eat a granola and almond bar I bring with me.  By the time I get home, I am hungry again and recently I have been having a sliced tomato, some lettuce or coleslaw and "Seriously Sharp" Vermont cheese cut into thin slices along with about half an apple… And some plain yogurt to which I add a teaspoon of marmalade or jam! I am organizing myself to make the little pots again since I love home made yogurt. A teaspoon of strawberry or raspberry jam cuts the sharpness of the yogurt very nicely.
  • I am not giving up my morning bagel completely, but I am enjoying a banana, and Wasa crispbread with cream cheese about every third day.
  • I am not counting calories and not weighing myself much at all. It seems to be happening in spite of me! {Perhaps one could call it the stress diet! }

Give thanks for unknown blessings already on their way.

I’ve got a few pounds to spare; you can lose them for me, if you like! 🙂

Yea weight loss. Boo stress.

What you describe sounds like a very healthy diet, I think. Good for you!

I’m anti-diet these days too. I’m just trying to make healthy choices (and not always succeeding, but it’s a start). If you wanted or needed to lose a few pounds, congratulations!
