Lists

What I have done or not done today:

  • I finished decorating the tree. Fred put about half of the decorations on the front of the tree yesterday evening  and I did the rest of it this morning. {I did the back yesterday.}
  • I didn’t go for an early walk. My walking partner called me at about 8:15 and said she was going to have to stay on and work.
  • However, I did go for a walk down to the library later in the morning. It was cold and spitting sleet and a bit of  snow but it was not much–just the occasional spit!
  • I slept for about two and half hours after I had lunch.
  • I did not do any Italian. However, I did print out information about the movie review I have to do. This will not take much time because we are to write tthe 200 words in English. I also have some grammar work to do.I will get dug into all of this tomorrow.
  • I wrote a real, snailmail letter to someone.

What I have planned for tomorrow:

  • a snailmail letter to the shut-in lady I write to
  • Italian homework. I will do my 200 words {in English–a doddle!} on the movie "Bread and Tulips." and also do the grammar. I may also start on the five-page paper I have to do on my teaching of the fourth graders. {I got their evaluation sheets in the mail today– very cute!} I tend to do a lot of prewriting in my head and I have been thinking about it…
  • I have a massage scheduled at 1:30 tomorrow.
  • I need to clear off the dining room table and get the floor in there swept. {I am not saying it will get done tomorrow but knowing I need to do it is the first step in getting it done, right?}

Things I need to get done in the next week:

  • wrap a present for Fred. {His other one has not come yet but I got email saying it was on its way!}
  • decide if I want to spend my 13th cost-of-living teacher-pension check, which I get on the 15th, on prepaid massages for a year {as I usually do} or put it into my going to Italy fund… At the moment, I am thinking of a compromise which is to buy 12 massages instead of 24 and put the rest in the Italy fund. I need to talk to Beth {masseuse} about this. I have this feeling that she may be giving up massages since she got hurt hitting a deer a few months ago. I don’t ask but I have this feeling I am her only client now and that perhaps she is only taking me every two weeks because I paid in advince for 24 massages. {She gave me a very nice discount for doing this.}
  • start getting the ideas for my oral report and my five-page paper down on paper. Oddly enough, I am more worried about the five-page paper in English than the oral report in Italian!
  • Get a room or two cleaned thoroughly.
  • clean the refrigerator.
  • Talk to Nichole about the email about an italian conversation group. It meets at the Big Library in Burlington every two weeks {I think} and she is there every month. I NEED to get out and talk in Italian but I am not sure I can do this as yet…

Until later….

The Italian conversation group is an excellent idea. You won’t have to carry the whole conversation yourself so why not?

I swear – I just admire you more every time I read one of your entries!

A busy, busy woman. ryn: I often think I’d like to BE you when I grow up. Your so active and wonderful 😉

I think I agree with FreeAtLast, I want to be you when I grow up! You are amazing.

That compromise sounds like a good idea. And if she’s giving it up… hmmm… Hate to see you go without your fortnightly massages.

I hope that I can be as active when I am your age! you really inspire me!

You sound very organized. I make any lists and then hardly ever look at them.

Noting here because I can’t see a way of leaving a note on your next entry (the road sign one). Yeah – that’s very funny – I’ve never seen that word before. lol

I went to visit your next entry but could not find the Leave a note button.
